We will only have time to hit one water park so which one would you rather go to and why?

thank for your help

Hi Andy,
We have only been to Typhoon Lagoon before but will be visiting Blizzard Beach in August.
They are both fairly equal in quality and guess it's just personal preference which, BB is a bit newer and I guess having read about the attractions there this would be my choice.

Would go for either of the above ahead of Wet N Wild, which despite recent improvements is not in the same league really.

would say typhoon lagoon as the new water blaster ride is surposed to be great
Paulh

also the wave poo is better there as well

I would vouch for Blizzard Beach as it is much more fun with a varied group. However many prefer Typhoon Lagoon with smaller kids as there is more shade and the toddlers area is better planned. The wave pool at Typhoon though where it gets deep is only for good swimmers as I almost embarrased myself once the waves started up!

I will be scheduling in visits to both this year and fully expect to enjoy the new 'Crush n Gusher' at Typhoon, possibly making me change my future preference.

I don't think I could choose!

(although I'm running a huge risk of being there while only one water park is open when I go in December... hoping TL will be open though because it was closed when Jay went)

My favourite is Typhoon Lagoon :)

Blizzard Beach arguably has better slides but we prefer the atmosphere at TL and the wave pool is second to none.

Depending on whether you have children or not and what ages they are might make a difference as well :)

I seem to be in the minority round here, but I actualy quite like Wet 'n Wild, and if given the option to go to only one water park, Id probably chose that. Why ?, Well I think its a combination of the quantity of rides, and rides that I think are better, and also the relative lack of queues (unless we've just been lucky every time we've been there).
Im not saying I don't like TL and BB, they are both great places in their own right, and they are well themed, which is something Wet 'n Wild clearly lacks......but im there to have some fun, and the decor/theme is of secondary importance to me.

Typhoon Lagoon when my kids were tiny, Blizzard Beach now that they are a little older (10 and 7) - they adore that "zip line" in the section for older kids! And we all love the family raft ride - the look on my mums face when they sent her wheelchair down in the raft in front of her so that she had no option but to get into the raft!

Nothing beats Wet 'n Wild in my opinion, fair enough BB and TL are both good parks but for the rides which to me is a big part of water parks then Wet 'n Wild is by far the best, it has something like 15 really good slides, for the little ones it also has a mini wave pool and a fun looking play area.

TL or BB-we like our water parks themed. Guess TL maybe be more popular this year due to the new rides.

thanks for your help i think it will have to be Typhoon Lagoon :cool1:

i can't wait now it going to be so much fun

I like Typhoon Lagoon but it's shut for rehab when we go in November this year.
I know Tracy bit annoying 'cos I love Tl but its not confirmed that its shut yet so fingers crossed

I''l keep my fingers crossed then in the hope that it's BB that's closed, i read this on the dibb but didn't realise it hadn't been confirmed yet.
