I have no idea where I read this, but I remember reading about the secluded beach behind the monorail terminal at the MK. It was said that this is a great romantic spot to view the electric water parade. My questions is, can you see the fireworks from MK, or does the terminal block that view. Does it get crowded over at the GF beach? Also, is there a certain time the water parade starts? How can I find out the time? Could we take a picnic dinner there? Thanks in advance!

If this is the spot I'm thinking of, we found it by accident a few years ago. If you head towards the boat launch for the Grand Floridian (it's to the left of the monorail entrance) and follow the path for about 4 minutes, you'll basically come to the end of the road. There's a little sitting area set up and yes it is a very romantic spot. It is a bit of a walk though, which doesn't sound like much, except after you've spent a day in Disney, every extra step seems to count. I don't think you'd be able to see the fireworks, but you would see the water parade which is shown nightly at 9pm. As for a picnic dinner on the beach, I really don't think that's what it's set up for. You can sit on one of the benches on the path, but I wouldn't wander very far from there, especially at night. If I remember correctly, only the path area was lit.

That is the one I had heard of! Thank you so much! We actually plan on going one evening that we are not going to the park, so the walk should be fine. I'm so glad someone else knew what I was talking about! :)
