Next week I will be staying at WL for my first time. On Friday and Saturday night there will be no Wishes as Nights of Joy are taking place. Will they still do the electric water pageant on those nights?

Very simple answer to your question - YES.

I think I should add that the Electrical Water Pagent is not dependent on what is going on in/with the Magic Kingdom (except for fireworks scheduling - it won't start until after completion of the fireworks) regarding special events and/or MK closing times.

It is only affected by extreme weather conditions that may pose a threat to the safety of the crew and barges since the light panels act like sails. It can be and has been cancelled in the past, as a result, but this doesn't happen very often, in my experience as a WDW Watercraft CM.

I believe the EWP is scheduled to be at WL at 9:35 p.m. most nights. Check with the front desk to be certain.
