I know Disneyland Hotel used to have a water feature what does a show kinda think with lights and water going off... do they still do that and if so at what time? Does any one know of any other free shows that you can go watch without having to be in the parks to see? That go on at Downtown or at the hotels that are open for anyone to go see?

You guys are awesome.. Thanks!:cheer2:

The Fantasy Waters show at the DLH was discontinued in 2004. They do still have a lovely waterfall area on the grounds, but no show. They have a pianist at the GCH who plays gorgeous Disney music while you sit next to the fire, and they have carolers at Christmastime. Other than that, DTD is probably the best place for live entertainment.

Yes for sure you can see a wide variety of live musical acts for free in DTD. Especially on the weekends. My favorite is Drew Tetrick, he plays classical violin (lots of well known pieces plus movie soundtrack songs) right near Naples Ristorante. I love to grab an ice cream from Haagen Daaz, find a bench and listen to him. And there are several others that go on during the evenings and daytime.

I miss the Fantasy Waters Show at the DLH and think its really a shame they got rid of that.

my hubby was gutted when they discontinued the fantasy water show... that area is so run down now...I don't know why they did not just keep it running while they decide what to do with the area. I've read that there is going to be another swimming pool built in that area, when they add a 4th tower to the DLH. The waterfalls, paths and koi ponds are worth a visit for sure, it's really beautiful in there!

aww maaaaaaaaaaaaan...you made me sad reminding me of what once was *sighs*:sad2: I used to ♥♥♥that show...when my dd was really little we stayed there every year and the night before we would do the Fantasy water show after we ate at GK....those were the best times.....now its just a shell of a place thats going to waste:sad2: oh and Bellagio totally stole that idea from DLH hmph:snooty:

So sad how they've left Fantasy Waters there to rot. When I was there last month, plants were growing all through it and the water was disgusting.

The koi ponds are nice to walk through, even though it isn't a show.

My daughter spotted the koi-feeding sign when we were there this week, and we got to help feed them. They do it Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am. You can actually put your hands in the water and they give you fishy kisses. Sounds kinda weird but it was cool. We also walked around and under the waterfalls.

Every night when we walked through DTD there were different musicians. Plus you can sit in the esplanade between the two parks and watch the fireworks at night.

Oh that's a shame... no wonder... I went two times since than and me and my husband would walk done there to see when it starts and we always assumed we missed it. haha! Darn. I remember seeing it once and it was cool.

Thanks for the info you guys!
