Water Country Portsmouth NH

has anyone been to Water Country in Portsmouth NH lately? I am thinking about going in the next couple of weeks for DD12's birthday but I'm debating about going on a Sunday all day or on a Tuesday after 3:00 (discounted tickets after 3:00) My older DD works until 1:00 and can not go all day on a weekday. How are weekend crowds? How about crowds after 3:00 on a weekday? They close at 6:30 so that would give us 3 1/2 hours in the park; DD of course wants to go all day but I'm nervous about it being way overcrowded on a Sunday. Any thoughts?

I think the weekday would be best, the weekends are a nightmare. Also depends on the weather.

I think a weekday would be best. If you go after 3, most of the camp/recreation groups have left or are leaving.

It's more weather-dependant than what day I think. Pick a cloudy day and it's just as much fun (maybe more if you don't like to be really hot cuz it gets really hot there) and the crowds are down a bit.

Be careful though and leave your valuables at home. There was a rash of car break-ins in the parking lot late last summer. DD's fathers car got hit and DD lost all her new school clothes that she had just bought during the same trip at Kittery just down the street, her overnight bag with just a few outfits but also all her hair accessories, her electronics case with DVD player, Ipod, DS and all the games, and cellphone. When they filed the police report, they were told there had been several break-ins that week. And no, these things (other than the overnight bag) were not in plain sight so it would appear to be random.

I can't answer your question about which day to go, but I also suggest a cloudy day.

I bought tickets for Water Country through AAA and for 4 tickets it came to $116.00, so a lot cheaper than through water country.
