The kind you put two AAA batteries in....

I bought one at Disney last year and it was either $16.oo or $18.00. We barely used it and it won't even work now (I changed the batteries, too).

Anyway, they have some at Dollar Tree. They are not as nice as Disney's, but they serve the purpose, and at only $1.00! Good deal I wanted to share.

I bought one of those in AK for $17. The whole vacation I refused to buy it because of the price. But I finally broke down on the last day and bought it because the heat at AK was unbearable. I still use it though. Last year when we had the blackout, it was a lifesaver!

These are really great to have. I packed three of them last summer for our trip I had bought Wal Mart on clearance. I think we used them all of one day. Well, the last day we were in the parks finishing off our UPH passes. We had packed the car for our trip home. Guess what we didn't take into the park with us?? Of course---the water fans!!!
Soooooooooooo, we're standing in line for Dumbo (yes, I know we're supposed to visit him earlier in the day, but 2 y/o grandson really wanted to ride!), and we're all melting. My husband went right over and bought us a Disney water fan with icy water in it. I have to say it was worth every penny at that moment!!::yes::

When my DH let my DD buy one of those the first day I thought he was nuts, I think it was $17.00. It was the best souvenier we ever bought. We used it the whole trip and loved it. That's the first thing we'll buy when we hit the MK the first day. Unfortunately the top of ours broke (not defective - kids fighting over it!).

DisneyMomx7, if you don't want to wait and have a Target nearby, they have them for 6.99. They don't say Disney on them, but the price is right!

Thanks, we do have a Target nearby and I need an excuse to go there anyway! Sounds like a good deal. You know I still have the bottle part and straps that say Disney I wonder if I could just stick the fan/squirt part in there? We'll see.

They don't have them at the dollar trees around here, maybe they'll get them soon. My children broke theirs after we came home (just the fan part), so I had the thought of buying the expensive ones in the park again.

I did buy a mister at Walmart for 10.00, It has a pump & clips onto your belt. It claims to lower your temp up to 30 degrees. :sunny:

The ones at Target here have a smaller handheld fan (no water) as part of the package for the $6.99 price. what a bargain!:D I did see back in the store with the seasonal stuff they had fans with water alone with out the smaller one for $4.99.

If you're going back to Disney this year, I would take that fan back and return it at the first kiosk selling fans you see. I've returned a ring that lost a stone (twice) and a baseball-style shirt that's color run a year later.

tar heel - we are going back in July. Do you think they would replace the top 11 months later? That would be great. I know they were really good last year - we bought a fat pen that only worked for about three hours and they immediately replaced it, and when the water fan batteries ran out after one day, I was just trying to buy batteries when I told the girl how fast the batteries wore out and she gave us a whole new fan!

I absolutely think they will exchange it a year later. In any case, it doesn't hurt to ask. The ring I keep returning (I have had three and will get another next time we go) is the Mickey head in glittery stones -- comes in blue, green and red. It's really cute and I enjoy wearing it -- not expensive at all, $20 range. One of the stones always eventually falls out, though, and I just take it back the next time. I don't even take it to the same place -- the original one was bought at World of Disney and the returns have been at Epcot and MGM. The shirt we returned was from the sports store in Downtown Disney, so we did have to go a specific place to get it. I had the receipt with the shirt but not the rings.

If we were going this year, I would take my watch b/c no one can get the back off to change the batteries.
