On a hot day, there is nothing like knowing the locations of the water bottle refill locations. Here's some that I know about and if there are others or if any get added in the future, please post on this thread and I will get them updated...

* Any restaurants in the park will give you water if you request it. They will not refill your water bottle but they will give you a cup with water or ice if requested.
* Please let me know if any of the info below changes and I'll get it updated.

Disneyland
  • Main Street: Baby Center (Water Refill Station near the back. They either have plastic cups hung to the left or you can just refill your water bottle)
  • Tomorrowland: Alien Pizza Planet (Use the water option at the Soda Fountain)
  • Tomorrowland: Autopia (Water Bottle Refill Station located between Autopia and Finding Nemo Submarine)
  • Tomorrowland: Galactic Grill (Water Bottle Refill Station to the side)
  • Fantasyland: Red Rose Tavern (Towards the back, there is a Water Bottle Refill Station)
  • Frontierland: Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante (There is a Water Bottle Refill Station near the seating area)
  • Frontierland: Pioneer Mercantile (To the left of Pioneer Mercantile, Water Bottle Refill Station looks like a tree stand with a water bucket on top)
  • Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Batuu Marketplace (There is a Water Bottle Refill Station towards where you first enter on the left side, to the left of the restrooms)
  • Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Milk Stand (There is a Water Bottle Refill Station against the wall to the left of the Milk Stand)
  • Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (You have to get on the ride and right as you exit, there is a Water Bottle Refill Station)
  • Tom Sawyer Island: There is a Water Bottle Refill Station right next to the restrooms.

Disney California Adventure
  • Avengers Campus: (Water Bottle Refill Station located on the left side of Dr. Strange's Ancient Sanctum)
  • Avengers Campus: Pym's Test Kitchen (Use the water option at the Soda Fountain)
  • Grizzly Peak: Smokejumpers Grill (Use the water option at the Soda Fountain)
  • Paradise Gardens Park: Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta (Use the water option at the Soda Fountain)

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel

Drinking fountains and bottle-filling stations are easily found on the Disneyland app.

Yes, they are easily found on the Disneyland app but you'll have 70+ options to select from and no clear easy way to find the water bottle refill station locations. Which is the main purpose of this thread.

Plus I've been told MANY times, to never drink from the standard water fountains at any Disney parks. I've seen one too many guests, while drinking, put their tongues on the basic water fountains. I've seen one too many guests clean their hands on basic water fountains. Then multiply that by the 30,000+ guests that visit the parks daily..........NO THANK YOU!

I'll stick with the water bottle refill stations, which the app does not do a good job of showing, unless you click on the 70+ options one by one.

I wrote this info on another thread but was asked if I would be able to create a separate post for it to make it easier to find while people are in the parks.

On a hot day, there is nothing like knowing the locations of the filtered water bottle refill locations. Here's some that I know about and if there are others or if any get added in the future, please post on this thread and I will get them updated...

Disneyland
  • Main Street: Baby Center (Filtered Water Refill Station near the back. They either have plastic cups hung to the left or you can just refill your water bottle)
  • Tomorrowland: Galactic Grill (Filtered Water Refill Station to the side)
  • Tomorrowland: Alien Pizza Planet (Use the water option at the Soda Fountain)
  • Tomorrowland: Autopia (Filtered Water Refill Station located between Autopia and Finding Nemo Submarine)
  • Fantasyland: Red Rose Tavern (Towards the back, there is a Filtered Water Refill Station)
  • Frontierland: Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante (There is a Filtered Water Refill Station near the seating area)
  • New Orleans Square: French Market (Used to be near the other side where Mint Julep Bar is located but now moved to French Market area)
  • Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Batuu Marketplace (Towards where you first enter on the left side, to the left of the restrooms)
  • Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Milk Stand (Against the wall to the left of the Milk Stand)

Gotcha. I’ve seen guests do some pretty funky things at the filtered water bottle refill stations as well.

It should be filtered. I know when we visited in July 2021, we refilled our water bottles by the one near Dr Strange at 4 different times. Didn't notice any difference in taste at that time.

Add Boardwalk Pizza at DCA. They have a self serve soda fountain.

There is also one inside the Mickey and Friends tram loading area. This one is like the ones found at airports.

Also, just FYI, most of these are NOT actually filtered water.

The only filtered water is at the soda machines and the one at the parking structure. The rest are simply water filling spouts that dispense the same water as the water fountains. You can taste a distinct difference. I can't use most of these unless I also have lots of ice, because the water tastes pretty bad.

This is so good to know, thank you. Can't stand the tap water in SoCal. Do they mind if you load up your bottle with ice at the self serve soda fountains as well?

Don't forget people washing babies during a diaper change... yes, it does happen. Ugh.

Which is why we choose to refill our water bottles at restaurants or at First Aid.

I don't think most of these are actually filtered water but just regular tap water. Like if we're counting the Batuu and Autopia water stations, we should also include the one in between the entrances of Adventureland and Frontierland. I think the best water is the one from Pym's.

Also, I think some of these are not permanent fixtures so they may be moved. For example, they sometimes put water stations out in front of Blue Sky Cellar or in Flo's.

No one cares. No one mans those soda fountains and there is always plenty of ice. We only basically fill up at Pizza Planet, Pyms, and Boardwalk Pizza. Otherwise we grab cups of ice water from the quick serve places. Flo's is the best because they give the large 20oz cups of ice water. They always have a bunch ready to go.

Anaheim water is pretty gross. Where I live we have our own water district and our water tastes great, and we are only a few miles from Anaheim.

Thanks for all the feedback on new locations, I'll get the OP updated soon.

As far as if they are filtered or not, I'm not going to get into that discussion. Outside of someone working in Disneyland offices, we're just guessing if those water bottle refill locations are filtered or not. I know I've gone places where I've seen they have water filters but didn't like the taste of their filtered water. It's just opinions on our own personal tastes and my opinion from when I visited Disneyland, I didn't taste anything strange from any of the Water Bottle Refill Stations I visited.

That being said, I did use the word "filtered" a lot in my OP and since that was my opinion that they were filtered or not, I have removed any references from the OP that had the word "filtered". :drinking:

I made several updates to the OP. I used the Disneyland app and searched for all the Water Bottle Refill Stations by going over all 70+ listing they had. Here are the changes and additions that I have made...
  • Removed the French Market place, as it looks like it's just a regular water fountain, not a water bottle refill station
  • Added the one near Pioneer Merchantile in Frontierland
  • Added the one at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
  • Added the one at Eureka Fitness Center at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel
  • Added the one at Pixar Pals Parking Structure
That should be a full list of 16 locations across the Disneyland Resort. If there are any more, just post on this thread and I'll update the OP. Thanks

The fitness center one shouldn't really be on the list as it requires a key card to the hotel to access.

But the GCH quick service Craftsman Grill has Coke Freestyle machines you can use to fill up without being a hotel guest.

Thanks, I made the updates to the OP. I left the fitness center on the list in case hotel guests wanted to use it but didn't know about it. Although I did update that you will need a hotel key card to access it. Appreciate the feedback and information.
