How does the water taste at DL? I drink a lot of water so I was thinking of bringing my water bottle from home. If I put enough ice in it to make it super cold will that help? I'd rather drink from my water bottle than spend 2.50 or more for a bottle of water. Thanks!!!!

I think the water isn't bad at Disneyland. We always just ask for a cup of ice water (which is free) when we get food and I haven't noticed that it tastes funny.

I have never noticed anything bad about their water.

Here is a tip we used last summer. At the Rancho del Zocalo counter service restaurant (near Big Thunder Mtn RR) they have a cold water dispenser outside in the seating area. Plus they have soda machines inside with ice dispensers. We filled our water bottles with the ice inside, and then filled them with the cold water outside.

Lots of people have complained about the taste of the water (I don't know, though, because I haven't been yet.) So they buy boxes of Crystal Light/ Gatorade/Lipton powder that contain water-bottle sized portions of flavoring. Just dump one packet into your water bottle!

We found the Crystal Light at Walmart.

That's a good tip, Thanks!
We would take ds' sippy cup to a walk up food counter and ask them to fill it with ice, and they would. Then we would take it to a drinking fountain.

Isn't there some kind of water dispenser at Goofy's Gas Station, in ToonTown?

No offence ,but the water in Cal. is kinda nasty(not that Tucson water tastes much better).Alot of chlorine and iron. If you don't mind hauling the silly things around, take bottled water into the park.FYI my dad was stationed at Vandenberg over 40yrs ago and the water tasted funky back then. ;)

P.S. if you want some weird tasting water go to Phx.It smells like dust.

It probably just depends where you are from and what you're used to. Being from Vancouver, BC I found the water literally undrinkable, and I did try to drink it multiple times. Next time I will definately be purchasing bottled water from somewhere nearby and just using that. Last time we ended up just buying water or pop frequently, but at 3 bucks a shot it adds up.

I agree that the water is nasty. Up here in the Northern part of CA, the water is nasty too....We wont drink it from the spigot here and we wont drink it down there either. A lot of their water down there comes from up here. When driving from here to there for part of the way you can follow the huge channel alongside the road taking the water down....

Drink at your own risk...

I bring my own water in. We buy a couple cases either when we get there or before we drive out there.

I guess people have different sensitivities. No one in our family had any problem with the water. And we drank a lot of it in August. But that's just us.

must be crazy too never complained a bit! I just avoid drinking fountians that kids have drooled all over! :confused3

I'm picky about water and cannot drink the water from the fountains at DLR, though my husband has no problem with the water. I usually bring in a few bottles of water for myself and one for him. He refills. If you're staying in a hotel w/o a fridge, I'd suggest getting a 32 oz bottle and ice it the night before in your hotel. A bottle cooler makes it easy to carry the water, unless of course, you have a stroller.

From a suggestion I read on one of the boards we picked up some of the Brita Sport Bottles on ebay when we went to WDW. They are individual size (about a litre/quart or so) and have a filtre in the top that takes any taste etc. out of the water. Using them we could just top up at fountains etc. We are all super picky about water....we are also from Vancouver BC and find water most places undrinkable (we have very good water here...). They worked very well in WDW and so we took them to DL in November and they worked well there too. As was pointed out, the $3 per bottle adds up, especially on a hot day!

i dont know what you people are talking about with the water at disneyland. i find it is much better than down here in san diego. i think they might filter it. it tastes like the water at our house and we filter it. although the water at goofy's gas station does taste a bit better. once apon a time it was flavored. i think.

hehe, its not 'bad' necessarily, its just the taste you're used to i think. Some of cali's water comes from where I live... many many many kilometers away in Canada. Its treated far more heavily and transported through cement water ways for days.

For all i know you'd find the water out of my tap awful.
