How leinent are they about bringing snack and water into the parks? I can get away with this at Disney, but havent been back to Universal for a while and cant remember.

there was a thread about this a few days back.
we had different opinions on it.

for me, i stay onsite and always have my bag checked coming from the hotel walkway to the park gate.

i always take water bottles in with me and snacks.
never had any issues.
same with snacks.

you can not take any glass bottles into the parks though.
no coolers allowed.

a poster added to my comment that they were given a paper stating just opposite.
this was issued to them when leaving the parking garage going to the parks.

Just remember: no glass. No hard coolers. Otherwise, you should be fine.

I came in from the parking garage and never got anything that said no water or snacks.
A cursory glance at what I had to take into the park, including a plastic water bottle and a small knapsack type bag with a couple of snacks (which we never ate) and to carry my many purchases in when leaving the park.

No crowds that day so we stuck it in a locker for the required rides with no wait and paid for a locker on a couple of water rides for our jackets and so forth.

I never had a problem. I used to always bring a sandwich and snacks with me when I went to the park. Nobody ever said anything about it.
