We will be having an 8pm dinner at O'hana. Wishes starts at 9:30pm that evening. Will we be finished with the meal by then? I would assume the meal goes pretty fast there. If we are finished with dinner by 9:30, how good is the view from the beach and how do you get to the beach. Sorry, silly me, bad with directions and goodness knows hubby won't ask.LOL.
Or the other option would be go over to MK and watch from there.
But I'm thinking that would be pushing it for time. My luck to get caught in a herd of stampeeding strollers and never see Wishes anyway.
thanks.

8:00pm seating will be perfect. They don't seat you right away. It's very busy! It will take you quite a while to eat anyway. You wont have time to go to MK so don't even try. If you finish early you can go to the beach. Just go to the lobby and out the doors down toward the pool and you will be on the beach. The music is on speakers but we couln't hear it when we tried. Plus my legs got eaten alive from I'm guessing sand fleas. However when we watched from O'hana it was great. Music piped in and everything.

Ohana's does take awhile for the meal. Be prepared for at least an hour -- more if you have kids since there are games involved.

We stayed at the Poly last year and watched the fireworks often from the beach near concierage. There are chairs to sit on. I notice that you can hear the music and the narration from by the quiet pool but you can't see the view. I don't know if this is the same by the volcano pool. You definitely can't hear it from the beach. It is a spectacular view though. The water parade goes by most evenings at 9:15 too so you might be able to catch that as well. Happy planning!

If you're seated right away there is NO WAY you'll still be eating at 9:30. But...Watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly is far more enjoyable than from 'Ohana, IMO...

Thank you for your input. I am so excited to just be finally going. It has been 10 long years. Yes, TEN. I went to the Luau last time, but O'hana sounds great for my DH and Boys (all grilled meat eaters).

Thanks again. Sounds like either way, in or outside the Poly, we will be enjoying Wishes.
