Last year, my DH and I watched the afternoon parade from the upper floor of the train station. It was a great place to watch! It got me thinking about whether it would be a good place to watch the MVMCP entertainment. We are interested in doing the following:
Frozen Holiday Wish
Christmas Parade
Mickey's Merriest Celebration
Holiday Wishes
I feel like we would have a good view of everything except maybe Mickey's Merriest Celebration since that is a stage show. We definitely want a good view of the Frozen Holiday Wish though since that is something we have seen before and loved. I don't know if the train station would be too far away to enjoy it. We were up close the time we saw it.

We have a 6:15 ADR at BOG, so the plan is to grab a few free cookies and find a spot for the entertainment which will probably start at 8:15. We would prefer not to feel like sardines, thus the reason I'm wondering about the train station. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well, realize that you're going to spend at least 90 minutes in dinner. You're paying an excessive amount for your party ticket, as well as the cost of the dinner at BOG, making that a VERY expensive evening. And by the time you get out of BOG at about 745-800, and try (yeah, I said "try") to get to the train station thru all pedestrian the traffic, it's going to be completely packed there.

I don’t mind your timing that much. We personally wouldn’t spend 90 minutes in BOG (assuming you’re seated on time) but everyone dines differently.

As for the train station, I would stay flexible in case it is being used for a VIP viewing area. I ‘think’ (read, not totally sure) that it’s used at times for VIP Tour viewing for the party parade and maybe fireworks.

So if you decide to give it a try, just have a plan B in mind just in case.

Yeah I don't expect to spend 90 minutes in BOG. We have rarely spent that much time in any WDW restaurant, including the signatures. And we don't mind the expense. The party ticket was less than a one-day MK ticket. We have leftover NE tickets, so it was the only ticket we had to buy. We couldn't get an ADR for BOG last year, so when it popped up this year, I grabbed it. We also have DVC and will be entering the park at 2:00. This will actually be our longest park day, since we are used to just going into a park for a few hours and then enjoying the resort the rest of the time. We plan on riding a few rides, eating at BOG, then finding a spot to stay the rest of the night. Just trying to figure out the best place to "stay."

Thank you for the grades, Robo. It looks like this isn't the best place for what we want to see. I guess we will just have to be sardines for the night!

I would not expect the MVMCP crowd to be nearly as packed-in as a "regular" evening at MK.
