Watching fireworks from the Ft. Wilderness beach?

Okay, thanks to all for your honest opinions. :)

I recently heard that it's better to watch the fireworks from the beach area to the right of the marina building, that the view is slightly less obstructed by the trees. Does anybody find this to be true?

I know it can't compare in any way to watching on Main St. or from the Cali Grill observation deck, but it's something we haven't done before that we want to try, as a low-key, arrival day experience.

I think the biggest problems that we have in watching from anywhere on the beach at FW is the lighting that stays on, the music is just "so-so", and the trees on Discovery Island block a lot of the fireworks. Guess we are totally spoiled to seeing them from MS area of MK to even desire to watch them anywhere else. But, there are some that enjoy it there :confused3 Watching from the right of the marina bldg. would probably give a better view than the left - maybe. You will just have to try it for yourself and see!

DH and I were at the Fort late October last year and there were bazillions of mosquitos. In fact even the CM's were commenting on how unusual it was not only for the numbers of them but the time of the year. We didn't go prepared with bug spray, but luckily they had some at the mercantile. A little pricey but waaaaay worth it. We are going around the same time this year and will be taking it just in case.

Yep, that is exactly when we were there and had a lot of mosquitoes (compared to what we're used to anyway.) There was a lot of rain around that time, so I'm sure that was why there were so many.
