Watching Fireworks from DLH

We've never had this come up before! Usually we go the week before Thanksgiving and the holiday parades and fireworks do not begin until we get there. With them starting earlier this year, there will be fireworks on our travel day. We arrive at the hotel around 5:00 and the fireworks are at 8:00. We have 6:30 ps at Goofys and we could make it up to the parking garage or any other spot you could think of for a good view.
Any suggestions???
TIA!

I wish I could help but I am hoping for an answer to this as well! I am also curious if there is any place where the music is piped in??

My wife was sick for a few days on our last trip but she watched from her window and turned the channel on the tv to one of them which had the music piped in. I guess you could call the front desk to ask them which channel.

Thanks! I wondered if there might be something like that. I am too cheap for a park view though so unless I get lucky, I don't imagine I will see them from my room. Maybe I could find a friend though!! Thanks for your help!

If you stand sort of near the big hat that is right near the entrance to DTD, you can see some of them pretty well. We stood there a few times a couple of years ago with family who had come to join us for dinner but didn't have park tickets.

Also, you can see them from the Espanlande area between the two parks and a few times when I have done this, they had the music piped in.

But if you want to just see them from the hotel grounds, just stand near the hat and you'll be fine.

Oops..sorry. That's great...I didn't think they would have the music pumped into the esplanade but that's good to know that it is a possibility. I think we will try and watch them from there the night we get there as we will only have a one day ticket and I am afraid it will rain or something (with my luck) and they could be cancelled the day we are actually in the park!

For sure the Esplande is better than by the hat at the DLH. Of the five or six times I have watched from there, the music was piped in at least twice.

Sounds good....thank you! So, it sounds like there isn't a lounge or restaurant, etc. in Disneyland Hotel where you can see them from? Unless you have a view from your room, you have to go outside?

The only lounge I know of where you can see them is the Concierge Lounge which of course is off limits to most of us!

You can't see them from the Lost Boys Bar since the Dreams Tower blocks the view.

And I have several standard view rooms where I saw them fine, in the Dreams, Magic and Wonder Towers. Even my second floor room in the Dreams Tower had an okay view, although the Espanlande would be better in that case. But from my rooms in the Magic and Wonder, those had great views because I was higher up. There is really onlye one side of one building that has absolutely no view of anything but a parking lot (Wonder). The other two buildings have some nice park views even in some of the standard view rooms. But its hard to tell in some, I assumed I had to be able to see some of the park so I thought our second floor room would be bust for fireworks but they are high up enough that I could still see some of them from that lower floor.

Well, not sure if this would appeal, but if you go to Paradise Pier Hotel and go to the pool deck on the 3rd floor, you can watch the fireworks and they do pipe in the music. I am sure as a guest of DLH they would allow you to do this, although it is a benefit of staying at PPH.

Actually, the pool deck at the PPH can only be accessed with a PPH room key. You can ask them at the desk I suppose but that might be complicated. But its a great place to see them for sure.
