watching fireworks at GF

Near the marina by Gasparilla's is nice. On the dock by Narcoossees is nice too.

Yes, near Gasprialla's is a really nice view of the castle/Wishes

We got to the dock before any others following a dinner at Narcoosees and were able to sit on a bench right by the edge of the dock facing the MK. It was a wonderful location for viewing the fireworks of one of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties.

You will see several places when you are out and about. The main thing is to get your seat an hour or 2 in advance.

No experience here, but an hour or two in advance? That seems like a lot.
Is that just to get a good spot, or any spot??

we were there at the GF june and actually walked over to the Poly following the sidewalks, around the pavillion construction. There is a beach adjacent to the Spirit of Aloha. If your lucky, you will be able to hear the music and festivities there before the fireworks begin. There is a swing and some chairs. Its lovely there!!

Enjoy!!

It might depend on when you're going to be there, but in general, I would guess that 1-2 hour in advance is way more time than necessary (except perhaps at the really busy times like New Years, July 4th, Christmas, etc.).

I like the view from the area around Narcoossee's, which includes the dock. This is the view from Narcoossee's (and the dock would be similar):

Plus you'll get a great view of the Electric Water Pageant!

I was staying at the GF for 4th of July and we had great views, getting a spot about 15 minutes before the start of the fireworks, down by the dock.

There is definitely no need to grab a spot before 15 mins prior. The dock or Narcoossees restaurant deck provide the best view.

We watched from a bench in behind Conch Key. It was actually the smoking area, but most of the time no one was smoking.

Here are some pictures I took from there....
