This is so dumb .... I taped the Christmas parade this morning. Then watched it tonite. Now I am sad / blue / and feeling lonely. Nobody in my family is interested in making a third or fifth trip to WDW. My plan is to gather the courage and cash to go solo in late 2014 or early 2015.

But honestly ~ watching the parade made me miss being in that Happy Place and was a reminder of too much unhappy stuff. Anyone else feeling that way or even a little heart-tugging nostalgic for time at the World???

I was the exact same way. I've only been to Disney world once, and I want to go back soooo badly, but my family always says no. I was super sad watching the parade this morning.

If you're feeling sad, you should start planning the vacation now... even if you don't plan to go for a while! Make the decision and start researching/writing down things that you want to do.

There are lots of studies that show that the simple act of planning and anticipating will fix what troubles you. I can vouch for the fact that this is true!

Don't worry about making the solo trip... I did it a couple of months ago and I had such a fantastic time!

I say go for it! Plan your solo trip and enjoy yourself. I travel all the time solo to DLR/DCA, WDW and also Disney Cruises. Yeah, I'm single and live near DLR and DCA so that is just a 30-40 minute drive. I visit WDW at least three/four times a year for runDisney events. I also enjoy Disney Cruises very much and try to cruise at least twice a year if possible. I exchanged my cruise trip this year to visit Aulani but next year I'm definitely cruising again on Disney.

Do it! You'll have fun.

I know it's different, but when I lived in Los Angeles and had a DLR AP, I'd pop into DLR on my days off without the husband and I had a blast meandering, sitting, and snacking all by myself, spending an hour and a half riding POTC as many times as possible, and taking my sweet time with my photography.

It's not dumb at all!

My advise is to book a trip. Research where you want to go and book it! You can always apply a discount if one comes out. You can always cancel if you decide you really can't go, but it will give you something to look forward to.

So I say go for it!
