Watch thread for April park hours

Hi all! Is there a 'watch thread' for the park hours to switch to an 8am opening at DHS? I know nothing is guaranteed, but that seems to be the current trend. I want to make sure I don't miss it! TIA!

No watch thread, but I was getting ready to start one for April park hours in general - as this Friday would be a 'normal' date we may (key word) see some updates. DHS has been off pattern since RotR and seems to be all over the place.

So now we're a watch party.

We are going the same exact week! But I bet Disney will wait even longer to extend hours with the whole COVID concerns. Things are evolving rapidly.

yeah this is my worry. I've planned around an 8 am HS opening week of 4/14. If they don't change it i have to re-evaluate my plan for 4/15 where i was planning all 4 parks (my epcot "day" since it's greatly diminished right now).

No way DHS opens later than 8am. My bet is the weeks flanking Easter will open at 7am again.

We've not been in 3 years and staying offsite April 4-12. I'm not getting great fastpasses due to 30-day window. If they expand hours, will more fastpasses be added for those hours?

Yes, when they expand park hours.... the park hour watch party becomes a FP watch party.

They usually get added sometime the following 24'ish hours (sometimes more, sometimes less).

It can be a GREAT time to adjust plans, especially for folks like yourself with a 30 day window.

I'm curious to see what they do with the week before and after Easter at MK this year.

Last year had a roughly (with some exceptions) two week run of 8am-12am park hours and the four EMH days over that period were a quite attractive 7am-8am and 12am-2am. One of the few times a year these days where you can get PM EMHs that late.

I am worried they are going to be more stingy with hours this year, but would be nice to see those hours repeated.

I've seen quite a bit of random FP+ availability of e-ticket rides. Just keep refreshing. I saw a 7dmt and FOP today. They were late at night but were there. At least a place holder until day of refreshing starts.

I've also had some luck grabbing HS FP's last night and today for our April trip. Just now I looked for one of our HS days (April 21) and there was a set of 3 MMRR @ 12:30 just sitting there. Of course I'd prefer it to be first hour but there wasn't any MMRR availability at all when I originally booked FP's.
