For those of you on vacation here in the good old "Sunshine State" of Florida. Please keep an eye on the weather! Looks like Hurricane Ernesto might be coming our way...... :sad2:

Oh and if anybody is staying at a real nice Hotel let me know if you have room, in case I need to evacuate....... :rolleyes1

Seriously, I am sick to death of Hurricanes and I am a nervous wreck because I just moved my kid to Tampa to go to college and they are saying that is where the storm is going to come...guess she needs to start packing and come home....

Ok everybody, all together now, one, two, three...Go Away Ernesto!!!!

Booooo!! Go away Ernesto!! We don't want you here! (how was that?)

I hope we don't lose power. During last years' hurricanes, we went at least 3 weeks at once without power -- not fun. :( We need a hurricane smilie..I do recall seeing one somewhere...

Keep safe everyone!

:grouphug:

I was in WDW during Wilma... Most of you are thinking it was horrible - but it was a blast!

The hurricane pushed away the damp weather, and everything was perfect!

And as for Wilma, she only drizzled over Orlando for 1 night.

WDW is pretty safe during hurricanes, but they may shut down the parks for a day. (But they will keep Downtown Disney open :))

Tip of advice: Go to WDW during hurricanes. They have backup generators, shelters if necessary, and much more :)

EDIT: I could be wrong, it was only 1 hurricane I was there to experience

Ah...I knew I shouldn't have said anything -- it moved more to the east. But maybe it will totally move off Florida altogether. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

EDIT as of the 11am Hurricane chart: Ernesto will be just west of our area by Wednesday. Please keep moving east... CORRECTION: It will be just over us by then...unless it moves! :sad2:

i live in florida and it wasn't good for wilma 3 half weeks w/o power no fun no sims or vmk {bleh}. but i have no school tues. or wed. but my teachers gave us homework so i'll do that if power goes out or during the hurricane . and most of all:
have a safe hurricane everyone!!

I'll type my go away song I sang in Kindergarten gradutation: No way, go away, we don't like your ears! No way go away, we don't want you here!

Maybe Ernesto, a nice name by the way, will die out in the ocean....

It might be going right through where I live! Savannah. I hope it at least makes school be cancelled. :)

i have figured it out! I think. I was watching my local news to find out that Tropical Storm Ernesto started to build up strength as it makes it way to South Flordia. People are stocking up and preparing for the worst because of what happened in Katrina. Perhaps the Storm affects all of us on the East coast, and not the West?
Right now the storm has just passed Cuba, and has winds oh 50 mph. I think that vmk may continue to not load (for some of us) for the next few days. And, those who are lucky enought to get on vmk, i believe there will be alot of ppl crashing.

Well the storm may cause some issues ffor some people, VMK serviers and operations are not, for the most part in Florida. They do have some operations for Disney there as I know a person that has family in IT there, But this was a broad server issue, and actually it started before Close last night.

I don't know, I don't live near WDW. But hope it does not hit.

Hold on a second, let me find out for you :)

WDW has been through a lot worse than a tropical storm. I wouldn't worry. ;)

We are bringing things in from the outside right now. Keep safe everyone! :)

thats one of the reasons i dont wanna move down there and one of the reasons my pop doesnt wanna take the disney job, even though orlando is more inland

hope everybody living in florida i give u the best prayers to stay safe, go away ernesto!

Everyone stay safe!
One more reason I love Ontario, I have hurricanaphobia.
