Hahaha... I love you Kathy!!!

I'm so behind and playing catch up! Pics from Halloween are so GREAT. Glad the midgets had fun with their tricks! Sounds AWESOME!

:wave2: Don't worry this is slow moving!!! oh yeah they had a blast!

Congrats on the $100 scratch off...every little bit helps!

Stevie...:lmao::rotfl2: Love that little rodent. He cracks me up!

He is quiet the character.. he does add more laughter to the house..

Sorry to hear about all your Volleyball stress. Sounds like someone needs to put that PSYCHO in her place...and also like someone needs to step up and help you with coaching! Good Luck Mo!

thanks.. it does not end here... this is just ridicules... i don't know why but it DOES shock me every time BS happens with the adults. IN A KIDS sporting program.

Oh man that is so crazy with the Volleyball stuff! I don't even know what to say about the whole thing.

:rolleyes2 just want to slap the stupid out of people but the line keeps getting longer...

Loved the video with the dogs and the laser pen! We used to have one for our dogs and as soon as I opened the drawer we kept it in they would all start looking at the floor. Unfortunately the battery died on it so we haven't had one in a while. I need to get a new one as I found it to be a great way to get them to burn off excess energy before bedtime!

i can honestly say this was the last time i used the laser with the dogs!!! I need to keep the house in tact for the holidays!!!

well Petsmart has them on sale for 4.99! Hope that helps! pixiedust:
It's TONS of fun to get them all riled up.

Volleyball update.
I cannot believe the actions of GROWN ADULTS involved in children's programs.. :sad2: just shocking and continually shocks me.
But i'm getting ahead of myself. Let's get back to Friday shall we?
Practice started at 4 for my 4th (3rd) grade team. I have two girls on this team that i had on my last years team. one of them is a HOT SHOT athlete. I mean this girl can do ANYTHING. she excels at softball playing on the 6th grade basketball team. ANYTHING this girls does she is a winner. The same goes for Volleyball she is amazing. THANKFULLY these two got a kick out of being the leaders for stretches and showing off their knowledge!!! :cool1:
there were two parents who stepped up!!! :woohoo: One who i knew from high school and a Father who i know all through softball and around the neighborhood! I AM SO HAPPY! Then two girls from the 6th grade came to help out too! :hyper: I had lots of help, which left me to analyze the team see where the girls are and see who my starting players are. I have about 3... :lmao: No big deal i am not looking to go into the Olympics (just yet)
we had a great practice. ALL 15 girls are staying on and everyone had a good time. I was SORE!!!
then ran home to get ready for dog training. ya know since i have a show this coming weekend. :scared1: he better do well...
Saturday. the boys had basketball practice at 11. we get ready go to the school and Lo and behold the PSYCHO is there practicing with the 6th grade.. :scared: wasn't expecting this. whatever. I see the practice i see all the coaching errors going on. this teams won't be going anywhere this season...
Their practice was over my boys took the court. The 6th grade coach sat with me and told me all the horror stories that was going on.. I told her what was to be expected and if it were to go on i need to know ASAP!!!
:rolleyes2
after practice i had to go to a dog training meeting at my Mom's house. My sister stopped by to order our annual Christmas ornaments... She is now going to help COACH!!! :yay: i have 4 coaches!!!!
awesome.
Then i stopped by the 5th grade practice. I miss my girls and want to help them and NOT just drop them. Show them i do support them even if i am no longer their coach.
the psycho is there. The 4th grade coach tells me "i understand if you dont' want to stay" WHAT?!?! this was MY TEAM. if she has the problem she can go.. I tell him. I don't have a problem. She left! :rotfl: GOOD GRIEF!
practice goes on. the team needs a TON of work. After practice i am getting the net down and getting all the balls together. I hear the coach talking to a parent and is extremely RUDE! i mean down right ignorant! FOR NO REASON! the parent was explaining that she does not get text messages and if he could e-mail any information and he flat out told this poor woman how he is a busy man works 10 hours a day and pretty much made her feel like dirt! OH HOLY MOLEY. she comes up to me tells me how she dosen't need this. i get i understand i pacify her.. Go home tell Tom. Tom says the coach needs to be put in his place you CANNOT talk to people this way. I get that.. OK i call the parent. She them tells me how she went home and cried. she was so shocked in the way this guy talked to her, the husband calls the coach. Coach didn't answer. Coach called back says: i'm sorry i should have said what i said lets never talk about this again and hangs UP!! :faint:
she said she will NOT let this go. i don't blame her. SO i tell her to write a letter of the incident she can either send it to me or straight to the president of the athletics.. my BIL... Today i will have to deal with this. :furious:
I went home and drank...
SUNDAY! cleaned the house. washed two dogs and blew dried them BEFORE this horrendous storm came.
OH WOW what a storm it was. tornado storm. Had plans to go to my Mom's they wanted to the kids to come over and decorate the tree. my parents only live 4 blocks away. I told them we would be over at half time.
Well about 20 minutes into the Bears game it was delayed and on the jumbo tron they wanted soldier field evacuated.. the storm is UPON US! winds up to 50MPH rain like nothing i have seen! it was cool... i like weather. it amazes me as much as people can sew!
My kids are scared of storms. we had a micro burst once and scared the living bejesus out of them ever since. So the air raid sirens are going off, the alarms on our phones, the radio, tv, the rain and the wind. Hey lets go to Grandma and Grandpas!
Off we went. Tom stayed behind to make sure the animals were ok before he had to go to work. If it was to get worse he was going to being the crew over to my parents house.
Go to the basement and start with the tree.. then POOF! weather cleared. Sun shining brightly like nothing ever happened. the Bears game commenced the fans came back to the stands... like any good bears fan we were flipping back and forth from the Packers and Steelers game. then all the good news happened: Packers LOST Steelers WON! then there was LONGEST BEARS GAME EVER! we WON IN OVERT TIME! :cheer2: by the skin of their teeth no less.
time to go home!
then ya know what i did for 3 hours?
NOTHING!!! absolutely NOT A DARN THING! pixiedust: that alone is pixi dust.
to start all over today. work then 5th grade volleyball hopefully it will be resolved easily enough.

We were listening to the RAVENS-bears game on the radio on the way to my great niece's baptism yesterday, when they announced the delay. Went into the Greek Orthodox Church and spent the next hour standing during the service. Came out, and the game still had not started. We managed to watch some of it during the party afterwards, but someone kept playing with the remote and did not take my rather loud hints to leave the tv alone. :rotfl2: We went home and I watched the very sad ending to that fiasco. I swear there is a conspiracy against the Ravens this year - starting with the blackout at the superbowl game.....

And also, how can you be happy that the steelers won?????

Charlie came in and announced that the steelers were tied for 2nd place, while the Ravens were tied for last place in our division.. :confused3:crazy2:
Both teams have the same record.....

More later.....

Alrighty... Well - I honestly think that sewing is EASIER than your life... That poor mom at (what sport was it?) - that was just very poor of the coach... It's really not that hard to email, and yes - the reality is that some people can't text... I always ask first - because I used to be one of those people who was charged $.25 every time a text came through. I hope this mom is vindicated - because I would go home and cry too.

I am glad that your Volleyball team and coaching is coming together quite nicely. It's too bad that other person is still involved though.

Storms scare the crap out of me... YOu can thank the tornado that went through our neighborhood when I was 5... Then you can thank the tornado that hit this house in 2008... I am the first one in the basement, with plans to bee line into the cistern if necessary.

*****************************************************************

I love to hear you planing your trip. Even if there isn't much to be done at the moment. There are still little things you can purchas e- which is seems you are doing... New shoes... New socks... Stock up on sunscreen... You know - a little here and a little there. Christmas will be here and gone before you know it, and then the fun will begin!

D~

We were listening to the RAVENS-bears game on the radio on the way to my great niece's baptism yesterday, when they announced the delay.

Ugh it was the longest delay.. I had several friends at the BEARS game, they were sent to the corridors. it was JAMMED PACKED. then the winds happened! Die hard football fans stay and hash it out!!! i remember one game it was -30 on the field we were about 6 rows off the field. it was COLD!

Went into the Greek Orthodox Church and spent the next hour standing during the service. Came out, and the game still had not started.

Holy cow standing for an hour? i would fall over! :rotfl2: Nope the delay was an hour and 53 minutes!

We managed to watch some of it during the party afterwards, but someone kept playing with the remote and did not take my rather loud hints to leave the tv alone. :rotfl2:

WHAT?!?! what is wrong with people! NO MESSING AROUND WHEN FOOTBALL IS ON! :sad2: the nerve...

We went home and I watched the very sad ending to that fiasco. I swear there is a conspiracy against the Ravens this year - starting with the blackout at the superbowl game.....

Poor ravens!!! I get it. I keep watching the dang Bears and they constantly disappoint!

And also, how can you be happy that the steelers won?????

Because Detroit lost! i am a steelers fan too... :thumbsup2

Charlie came in and announced that the steelers were tied for 2nd place, while the Ravens were tied for last place in our division.. :confused3:crazy2:
Both teams have the same record.....
More later.....

this is a terrible year for football! well for our teams. ::yes::

Alrighty... Well - I honestly think that sewing is EASIER than your life...

NO WAY.

All Volleyball.... it is poor of the coach!!! what's the big deal??? it take just as long to text as it does to email!!! whatever..

I am glad that your Volleyball team and coaching is coming together quite nicely. It's too bad that other person is still involved though.

so far so good....

Storms scare the crap out of me... YOu can thank the tornado that went through our neighborhood when I was 5... Then you can thank the tornado that hit this house in 2008... I am the first one in the basement, with plans to bee line into the cistern if necessary.

This i can understand!!! i have never gone through something like that and i can just give you hugs!!!
i feel the same about fire...

D~

i just wish i can do more planning. at least get an idea about ADR's something!

Volleyball update:
NOTHING happened yesterday the parents are writing a letter and said it will be send to school on Wednesday. i on the other hand pulled a muscle in my lower back... :headache:

Disney update:
I want to be there now...

I swear every time I read one of your weekend stories I end up holding my breath waiting for the next thing to happen! I would say that I hope things settle down but I don't think that's possible with your crew! :rotfl:

I love Sci Fi, can't wait to eat there again in February. I haven't made it to Tusker House yet but it's definitely on my list of places to try.

I know how you feel... And thanks to Oopsi's gorgeous cruise ship photo... Now I really want to go on a cruise too... Sigh.

D~ <---- Maybe since we are going on a shorter trip next year, I wonder if we could sneak in a quick 3 day cruise?

Totally agree Have been through a couple tornados and Hurricane Fran. I hate bad weather! Always the first in the basement and the last to go back upstairs. my DH stands on the porch and watches the storm approach.....crazy man. Glad to hear you didn't have damage. We had 5 tornados hit Ohio but they were north of us Toledo got them.

I know... It's INSANE! when people talk about their vacations (non-Disney) like Oopsi and her beach update. I can look at it and think. I have NO IDEA how to just sit there.. i have such a go go go go life style, i don't think i know what to do with myself if we did a relaxing va-ca!!! i need someone to teach me. :rotfl2:

D~ <---- Maybe since we are going on a shorter trip next year, I wonder if we could sneak in a quick 3 day cruise?

Volleyball update: rather NOT get into this.. it's getting worse. I have lost all patience with it.

I still want to be there right now i need a vacation SO BADLY!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK!!! Holy cow did that come up QUICK!
have i gone shopping? Nope i only have the bread stuffing!!!
Today i need to make my annual list. and get on this.
Still need to get the Elf on the shelf together. I have been reading some awesome ideas on pintrest and hopefully find the time to do some of them. i don't know how much long i have with the kids and the magic in their eyes.
I stick to this NO MATTER WHAT: "if you don't believe you don't receive." you will never hear me mention otherwise... :santa:
So this week starts my Christmas FESTIVITIES! I am not going to lie i was bitten by the Christmas Spirit about 2 weeks ago. i want to decorate NOW!
i'm such a kid...

Saturday i have to get my blood test done Volleyball practice groom Logan. they are having a light show at Navy pier i would like to try to get pictures of that. Sunday is the dog show.

i'm tired even writing about it.

OK getting stuff done! Talk soon!!!!!

I offered for Josh to take me on a Disney cruise... "trapped on a boat with all those Disney nuts - no thanks" were his exact words. Sigh. Maybe I could just lock him in our room? I'd be nice and get him a room with a porthole... Maybe...

I had the exact same Christmas philosophy... But when V was 13 y/o and STILL a firm believer - we HAD to tell her... She cried for days! Kids were starting to tease her - and she was going into high school... Besides - it was getting really HARD to try to sneak downstairs, we still play the part and they must pretend to "believe" to keep the magic alive for us. LOL

D~

CRUISE!!!! Someday we need to have a Dis-friends cruise...now THAT would be divine!!! :goodvibes

I have started my Christmas shopping....but not the decorating. I MAKE myself wait until after Thanksgiving. Then guess what happened this week...my Mom put out her Christmas decorations!! I have always tried to track with her on getting those decorations out, and she had the same convictions I did...no Christmas until Thanksgiving gets the attention it deserves. She is such a traitor this year!

I'm baaaack! At least for a while. I'm hoping to get caught up, but it will take a while. I feel so out of it. Thanks, Mo, for your prayers while I was away. Now I'm looking forward to laughs and lots of plans and excitement for your trip.

I will be going back to Virginia Dec. 9th for a week, but that should be it. Jennifer's surgery is scheduled for Nov 26 and she has other help lined up until the 9th. So, I'll do what I can to get ready for the holidays and get rested up from the craziness.

Still LOVING your photography!! Skills, my friend. Mad skills!

Okay, I've read everything I missed. thanks for the laughs! Love the Halloween decorations, costumes, tricks and pumpkin carving! And that video of the dogs and the laser...Oh yeah. I've done that with cats. We once had a cat who actually watched in distain as our other cat went nuts trying to catch the light. You could almost hear her say, "Please, you're embarrassing me and all our species!" haha

So sorry about all the volleyball/coach/psycho problems. As if you didn't have enough to do, you have to school these so-called adults in basic decency and common curtesy! Sheesh! Sending prayers your way!

Oh, and that hump day photo was awesome! Soon as I figure out how to easily post photos here, I'm going to start my very first trip report. I'll let you know when I do.

This year for Thanksgiving, we are flying down to Texas to my sister's. She wanted our parents to come and knew they wouldn't fly by themselves, so she bought tickets for all four of us. We'll be flying on Thanksgiving day and having our meal on Friday. Should be interesting. My sister and Dad do not get along very well...

And Mo, I want to thank you so much for your prayers and support while we were finding out what was wrong with Jennifer. The oncologist thought the tumor was cancer, but when the biopsy showed negative, we were all sooooo relieved! And thank you to everyone else who prayed for us. As Mo said, it was felt and very much appreciated. I'm pretty exhausted, what with the work I had to do and the high emotion of not knowing what was wrong. But Dan has not let me do a thing since I got home on Wednesday night, so I'm getting a lot of rest and relaxation. I do get exhausted all over again reading about your typical day/weekend. You go girl! I know you won't be on until Monday, but I hope you have an awesome weekend with no more nasty surprised on the people front or the car front...actually ANY front!

Oh man... that stinks!!!! Well then we will have to do something to get you on a Disney cruise! :rolleyes1

I don't know what you are talking about??? :confused3... Santa delivers to our house.... you obviously are bad... :rotfl2:
if you don't believe you don't receive!!!! <-- forever my motto..

CRUISE!!!! Someday we need to have a Dis-friends cruise...now THAT would be divine!!! :goodvibes

THIS. IS. THE. BEST. IDEA. EVER...
let's keep this in mind...

I know I know!!!! it's killing me to keep all decorations at bay. your correct Thanksgiving must get the attention it deserves. I like that! I have Thanksgiving every year at our house. the cooking-cleaning- I complain.. but I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

I'm baaaack! At least for a while. I'm hoping to get caught up, but it will take a while. I feel so out of it. Thanks, Mo, for your prayers while I was away. Now I'm looking forward to laughs and lots of plans and excitement for your trip.

:wave2: :cool1: :yay: :dance3:
SO glad your back!!! you have been missed!!! :grouphug:
go laugh that's why i am here...

I will be going back to Virginia Dec. 9th for a week, but that should be it. Jennifer's surgery is scheduled for Nov 26 and she has other help lined up until the 9th. So, I'll do what I can to get ready for the holidays and get rested up from the craziness.

i am SO happy she will have the support she will need. Prayers for a quick recovery!!! and less pain...

Still LOVING your photography!! Skills, my friend. Mad skills!

not really... But i am getting better.. thank you! :flower3:

That's cats for ya! :lmao:
Thanks i love sharing my crazy house with you all...

So sorry about all the volleyball/coach/psycho problems. As if you didn't have enough to do, you have to school these so-called adults in basic decency and common curtesy! Sheesh! Sending prayers your way!

It just gets WORSE!!! I try to put it out of my head.. But it isn't easy I despise babysitting grown adults - even worse Micro-managing people.. please tell me this isn't where the world is headed to?

Oh, and that hump day photo was awesome! Soon as I figure out how to easily post photos here, I'm going to start my very first trip report. I'll let you know when I do.

YAY!!!! :cheer2: I really hope you do! any help i can give im here for ya!

how wonderful is this?!?!?! What are holidays without Family Drama?!?!

And Mo, I want to thank you so much for your prayers and support while we were finding out what was wrong with Jennifer. The oncologist thought the tumor was cancer, but when the biopsy showed negative, we were all sooooo relieved!

that's what friends are for. Gather and take care of each other.
I am so happy it's benign... Merry Christmas to you!!!

And thank you to everyone else who prayed for us. As Mo said, it was felt and very much appreciated. :grouphug: you need some major R&R!!! can you say spa day???

I know you won't be on until Monday, but I hope you have an awesome weekend with no more nasty surprised on the people front or the car front...actually ANY front!

thank you!!! i am on today for a wee bit. then off to the races.

**********************************************************
PLEASE everyone keep good thoughts to my Logan this weekend that he qualifies in this dog show!!!!

OK i will show you ONE gift for Meg... it's just SO ADORABLE!
MINNIE DRESS

Don't know if i wrote this. Meg is asking for princess clothes for Duffy. Yeah the male bear? well, he is going drag in our house. Shellie May is not available in the states, we have to compromise right?!?!

UGH OH!!! May have a new ADR on my list -----> CLICK ME

Read this in a book and it stuck with me.
What’s an adventure if you know all the steps before you take them.

This statement is remarkable! All of us and our planning. we plan... and plan... and plan- pouring over menu's, rides, what resort to choose- for over a year we plan on our wonderful destination vacation.
Yet once we get there, and walk through the gates of magic. all of our planning means nothing. It turns into a wonderland of adventure. Every turn is magic every sight, sound, even smell turns into a new experience a new adventure. You cannot plan how you will experience the sensations that blanket us once inside. the magic that takes over.
this is why I love Disney as much as i do. Yes i will continue to pour over all the information on the internet to ensure i don't miss an attraction - yet - once i am there with a family who has never been, the adventure will take over we will succumb, allowing it to show whatever excitement awaits.

I love that Minnie dress - who cares if it's Duffy - its a bear! My youngest has a pink bunny that she used to dress up in baby dolll clothes all the time - and put hair bands around its ears.

I make a general plan for each day - mainly which park we have adrs in and use that as a guide for what we will do each day. However, nothing is written in stone and all plans are subject to change. I think that we have been to WDW enough, and plan to return often, that I don't feel we have to do "everything" each time we go. I much prefer to be a bit spontaneous and let the moment dictate the plans.

That is not to say that I disagree with those who plan out each minute of the trip. If that makes them happy, go for it!

I don't know if that first view of the castle, or Spacehip Earth, or the sorceror's hat, or the Tree of Life will ever grow old and lose its magic. That's why we go!

Lois, I am happy to hear that your daughter does not have cancer. We have been praying for her.

I just love that Duffy Minnie dress - it's adorable and it appears to be well made. I am so glad you were able to find something.

The Moroccan restaurant looks wonderful! But still not sure it is "the" restaurant I am looking for in Epcot... I still get a "meh" feeling when I think of all of them.

And I love that book excerpt... I don't think it could be more perfectly described.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

D~

Mo, I'm sorry I've been missing, and hope you will forgive me.

Work has been crazy (end of year closings, etc.), planning for the holidays, dealing with my brother's medical issues and trying to get ready for our trip next week.

This is what we do as well. And I feel exactly the same way every time I see those icons in each park!!

Thanks for the prayers!!

Mo - You jumped on over the weekend??!! Yay! Hope it was a good one. I've been decorating for Christmas since we leave on Thanksgiving day to fly to Texas to celebrate with my sister. Something tells me I told you this already. Hmm. Where or where did I put my brain???

I probably won't be on again before turkey day, so I want to wish you and your family and everyone on this thread a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving surrounded with people you love!! One thing I am VERY grateful for are my DIS friends!!!

Too funny about Duffy in drag! Actually if you read Cheekypoppins' PTR, her daughter's Duffy does drag too!!! He has an Ariel costume! :rotfl2: Maybe you all should be taking your Duffy's to Disney in June? :rolleyes1

That new restaurant in Morocco was under construction when we were there! Can't wait. I just LOVE Disney Dining!

Not sure if I will make it back over here before next week, so to my favorite Ringmaster Disfriend:

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Jennifer. Her surgery took and hour longer than anticipated because the tumor had grown so much since the last test (a week ago). But it went well and she is on the road to recovery. I would still appreciate prayers for that long process. She tends to overdo, which isn't difficult when you have four kids!

Meanwhile:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!!
