With the construction going on at the Polynesian I wasn't sure if you could still sit on the beach to watch the fireworks. Anyone done it recently?

It's clear over by the Luau Cove area.

Or, you could walk over to the TTC, where there's a great view and loud audio piped in.

I've noticed an increased number of rumors that Poly Beach access is or will be restricted to Poly guests, often by Poly fans. I don't know if it's true.

Not terribly helpful, I know. Sorry!

I went a couple of weeks ago to check it out for my annual trek on the 4th. No one asked for my ID, looked at me or even passed me by. That said, with the construction EVEN IF I was a guest of the Poly I would pass on watching from there this year. Just too much construction and too little beach. Some of my favorite viewing areas are completely gone for the moment too.

I wasn't too fond of the TTC set up either.

I am still making my plans.

Right now, with all the construction, Poly Beach is not the best spot for Wishes viewing. I'm more curious to see how that location is for viewing after the construction ends.

Anyways, you could book an ADR at Narcoossee's or California Grill if you don't mind the absurd prices. For the 3rd of July, I was able to get a last minute ADR at CG to watch the fireworks. Done it before for Wishes (not for Celebrate America though) and it's awesome!

If that isn't an option, the TTC and Luau Cove are also good locations. You could try the water taxi dock at the GF or the 4th floor observation deck on the Grand Canyon Concourse at the Contemporary too.

Things that make you go, "Hmmmmmmmm…"

;)

Definitely only a short line needed to connect those two dots.

I hear they're doing the same with the resort monorail.;)
