wassail bowl in a pot.....

one gallon Maine apple cider
3 tablespoons of Maine maple syrup.....
juice of three (out of state) lemons
6 cinnamon sticks......
apple slices and/or orange slices....
combine the ingredients and heat over medium heat to the boiling point(but do not boil) and serve.....you may start with half the recipe......
this serves 16....

we spike ours! but that does sound good!
This is mine!
I buy Chaddsford spiced apple wine
about 4 cups cranberry juice Usually 1/2 bottle to one bottle of wine
wrapped and tied in cheese cloth: cloves, cinnamon stickes, lightly crushed, all spice, whole nut meg, slightly crushed
Then I float some orange slices, cranberries and put in a crock pot! YUMMY! Warms you right to your toes!
