Wasn't the Free DDP extended last year into October?

I was hoping the Free DDP plan would be offered this October. Wasn't it extended last year into October?

Not exactly.

Free dining was valid for people with check-ins through October 4. So if you checked in Oct. 4 you could have free dining for up to 10 nights. The dates of the offer never changed, they just extended the dates that you could book the package. (Originally you had to book by June 1 or whatever, then they extended to allow you to book through July 31 or some date later in the summer. The dates the free dining were valid did not change.)

The dates will change from year-to-year, I suspect, based on when weekends land on the calendar. Other than that, the intention seems clearly to be to offer free dining only during the heart of hurricane season.
