Hi, Looking for hotel ideas/recommendations for those who know about the Arlington VA/Key Bridge hotel area. Can anyone recommend on of the hotels in that area? thanks

Have you tried the washington.org website? We have found that to be very useful :goodvibes

I can tell you we are staying at the Embassy suites near the capitol area in DC and then a few nights in Chantilly, VA at a marriott suites. I will give you a review when we return next week!

I also wanted to add that we stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Crystal City before and it was a nice hotel within walking distance of the metro. Would have stayed there again for this trip, but their rates were a little higher than I wanted to pay for the time frame we were going.

Thanks I'll check those out and see pricing, parking, location, internet fees etc. Gets so confusing, so many choices !

I was just in DC this weekend and for the first time ever stayed in the District (at someone's home). In the past I have always found good deals in the Tyson's Corners area. It is close to the Metro (Orange line) but further south then the Key Bridge area you are talking about. If your are trying to stay close to Georgetown it might be a bit of a hassle because there is no metro stop in Georgetown but it is a pretty easy walk from Foggy Bottom.

Of course I don't mind walking a bit so I might find the walk less of an issue then some.

We had a great experience at the Crystal City Marriott this past January. Spotlessly clean, reasonable rates, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and a metro station right underneath so we didn't even have to go outside to catch the train.

Enjoy your trip!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Springfield VA......last stop on the metro.....(Franconia)....it was wonderful...nice hot and cold breakfast in the morning (comp.) easy transportation to & from metro. PM me if you have questions.

We stay at the Arlington Embassy Suites, which is across the street from the King Street Metro stop. Very convenient to DC and there are several places to eat in the area. Plus you get a hot breakfast as part of the room rate. Good luck!

As someone who lives here :goodvibes I would not suggest anything as far out as Springfield, Tysons Corner, or Chantilly... WAY to ofar out IMO...and another poster said they stayed at the Arlington Embassy Suites, but I think they meant the Embassy Suites in Alexandria, because tha only King Street metro Station is in Alexandria. I would suggest Alexandria, too because its so darn pretty here!!! And FIREDANCER--it was a beautiful weekend in DC wasn't it?? Were you here protesting or marathoning?

Half marathoning. It was a really nice course and the weather was perfect. We went down to the mall to meet up with one of my friends who lives in the area and see her new daughter. We got to witness the immigration rally but stayed away from the capital. I wanted nothing to do with any of the protests.

We're staying at the key bridge Marriot on April 1st - the 5th. I'll post back to let ya know how it was. We had a friend who works for the Marriot and got us the family and friends rate at $99 a night. I know parking in their garage is $17 a day.
