Washington D.C. Trip Questions/Quiz

Okay, in two weeks, the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in my school are going to Washington D.C. We're leaving from our school at 5 am and coming back the next morning at 2:30 am. Thank goodness we have that school day off! lol! Our school is also going to a Pirate's game that day, but that's not the point. I've been to three times Washington D.C. already, but I haven't had the chance to actually walk around and explore it. Could anyone give me some good places to go/visit/eat maybe? I'd appreciate anything. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!

if you can't give me any information, at least take this quiz...............

1) Should I take me school backpack?
2) if you answered no to number 1, than what should i carry my stuff in?
3) should i bring my portable dvd player along with dvds?
4) My friends can't settle a dispute about who I'm sitting by on the way there, since it's only two people to a seat......what should i do?
5) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!! (just joking)
THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!!!! and please fill out a the POOL question , because these were our school's two choices for the BIG TRIP in May this year. Obviously we chose Washington D.C. but I'm curious to what you guys would have picked.....THE QUESTION IS GETTYSBURG OR WASHINGZTON D.C.???????????

backpack- yes
DVD player- depends on how far you are going, but when i went it was like 8 hours and we were fine with out them, and plus there is always the risk of it getting stolen, so i would be safe and say no, and the bus(if you are going on a coach bus) should be playing movies anyway.
Friends- when you get on the bus you always change your mind anyway, so just get on the bus and sit with whoever you sit with, you can always change if you want anyway.
to wear- depends on the kind of weather

I live like a 20 minute drive from DC... It's not that great... I say Gettysburg is better. The only thing I go to DC for is the M*A*S*H exhibit at the American History Museum and to take pictures.
