The poll doesn't ask how often one changes sheets, it ask how often one washes sheets. I have one bed to wash, so normally, the pile has to add up before I wash ALL my sheets.

However, I have a cat who sleeps with me,and she gets extra towels put down where she sleeps for fur that comes off & pet smells. So I do end up with quite a pile when I wash.

As for the poll question. I change sheets once every 2 weeks.

I thought the question and the implied interpretation were pretty self explanatory. :lmao:

Either way, I'm still totally comfortable in expressing my disgust with those who go a month between changes. Nasty. Don't care if you dip yourself in lysol before you climb in the bed.

NEVER longer than a week. Between sweat nights when people don't shower, it's pretty disgusting to think of sleeping on them any longer than that. Also skin shedding and oils. GROSS!!!

I shower first thing in the morning after I climb out of my washed once a month sheets.....I've always hated taking a shower at night. Only time I will do that is if it's summer and I've been outside getting sweaty and gross...but we don't hang outside a lot in the Hot Texas summers...

I'm just south of you so we shower multiple times a day, but once I've showered at night I won't go back outside, it's a pain when I want the outside cat to come in for the night 'n she wants to wait til 9 or 10 to come in. :rotfl:

I agree! Blech. Besides the usual shedding of skin, natural body oil, etc - how about the other things that go on in a bed that require changing sheets? ;)

And I'm comfortable in your disgust....no one sleeps in our bed except me and DH and it doesn't bother us....:thumbsup2 But I also sit on public toilet seats, drink after people and countless other things that apparently gross other people out. ;)

Voted weekly, but if I had time to change them daily I would. LOVE freshly washed sheets!!!

Good thing it wasn't a test question! We got 2 cats that sleep with us 'n they claim any spot they want, drives me nuts. :rotfl:

My cat got tired of being accidentally kicked in the middle of the night. :duck: So she only claims two spots where she thinks she will be safe.

 Please don't give people ideas here. It's the DIS remember. It it gets posted here, someone will try it. . . Or maybe they already have.

That's the other thing, we shower before gettin' in the bed, cannot even think that folks don't shower before goin' to bed.

I haven't showered at night since I was 10 years old. We all take showers in the morning, after getting up, unless we are sweaty or dirty from activities during the day.

:rotfl2: I love this. It should go on your tag.

We're elitists, shower as often as we want. :lmao:

Change sheets every week. We take at least two showers a day. I think I covered all the hot points. :thumbsup2

This part made me LOL.

This poll inspired me to put the sheets in the wash just now...thanks! :thumbsup2

Lol....DH and I have also been known to use the same toothbrush and at our house we drink out of the milk jug......and then climb into our bed with the dirty sheets without taking a shower!!

We also use Fast Passes past their window....but we NEVER EVER pool hop!!!! :thumbsup2

Weekly, but I will do them more often than that if I have somebody sick in the house. Anything past a week and it just grosses me out.

This. I change ours every 2- 3 weeks. Used to be more but my life is way too busy to do that these days. Lucky my bed gets made daily (I cannot stand an unmade bed).

My boys shower at night, usually. But DH and I cannot imagine starting the day off without a shower. Ewwwww.

weekly in our house. Oh yeah we (me and my husband) don't shower before bed (although my kids do). We are morning shower people.

:)

You're supposed to wash them?

J/K weekly, more if someone is sick

Bleh not showering before bed (or like, when you get home in the evening) is gross to me. Getting into bed after being out and about all day - ick!
