Washing Machines

Hi. It will be my first time to Orlando and Disney. I'm from the UK and have a washing query....how boring!!!
I want to do one or two loads while away and we will have a washing machine in our accommodation. (Sheraton Villages). Do I need any special detergent as I have read of machines over there being High Efficiency and needing certain detergent or can I just bring a couple on non bio tablets from home? Worried about breaking the machine and inadvertantly having my own private bubble party.

Not all machines are high efficiency, so unless you specifically heard from the hotel that their machines are, I would not automatically assume. Most public machines are still regular machines these days.

If you do use regular detergent in an HE machine, you generally just need to use less of it (though manuals will tell you that you MUST use HE detergent). Most hotel laundry facilities here do have detergent dispensers from which you can purchase detergent from. My suggestion would be to go ahead and bring your tablets from home, and if you can use them, great! If not, you should be able to purchase the correct detergent at the hotel from the dispensers.
