ok, so here is a bizarre question... A few months ago we had work done in our basement so we moved our washer and dryer out into our garage. We are in the process of remodeling and it has since gotten very cold and snowed up where we are. Someone just told my fiance that if we are to hook up our washing machine that since there is probably water left in it since the last time that we used it that the first time that we go to use it it will leak all over the floor. Does anyone know if this is the case? I really don't want to go buy a new washing machine! This one isn't that old!

It's possible that leftover water in the washer could freeze, crack something and then leak if used.
