Nope. Neither of my parents were born in the U.S.
My dad was born over 6,000 miles from here, in China although he moved to the U.S at age 2, and basically grew up 115 miles from here. He moved here when he was in his late 30's.
My mom was born and raised 1,500 miles from here in Canada, and moved here when she was 25.
I just remember in elementary school when there was any discussion of where our parents were from that the teachers always wondered how my parents every got together, and those teaches probably had no idea my dad was 13 years older than my mom. Huge differences but their paths crossed, they married and they had me.

They met in CA during WWII and stayed

Close, 20 miles away as my Dad got a new job as a Police Officer with a rented house when I was born and we moved to that area.

My parents grew up in a very small coal mining town in Pennsylvania. Not even a stop light in town. They moved to NJ early in marriage. My sister was born in PA but I was born in NJ. 350 miles in distance.

No. My parents lived in different states. That said, my son is being raised in my hometown.

Not at first but then we built a house next door to my mom’s parent. The neighbors were mostly relatives as well.

Where in PA? My dads family is from the Hazelton area but going through some small towns, Tamaqua, was one that I recall. I believe there was another town that we would say, you blink and you are through it. My great grandfather died in a coal mine collapse.

The house I grew up in, my dad lived in from age 12-20, when he got married. After my dads parents passed away, my parents moved into the house. I was in what was my dads bedroom. Moved in when I was 2 and I loved there until I was married at 24. We went to the same high school, graduating 20 years apart.
