I feel dumb for asking this. Last year when I checked into our Grand Floridian room, the lady at the check-in counter gave us our anniversary bottons then walked away. When she came back she said you have $2000.00 dollars you can charge to your room for free. I didn't think about what she said i was excited to see our Magic Kingdom view room. and go to the parks. I kept every piece of paper from that trip to look back on, scrapbook, whatev. Well, that $2000.00 dollar thing popped out at me again.

So, was that like a free gift? OR could we have charged 2000.00 worth of stuff to our room and paid when we checked out? I feel dumb about this.:confused3

When you check in they can tie your Key to the world card to your credit card and you can use your key to charge things around the resort and parks that will be on your bill when you check out. I'm sure this is what she meant, however, the wording used is a bit vague and I see how that could lead to a misunderstanding.

That's what I think too. I can't imagine Disney saying here's 2000 dollars have fun! Thanks for your response

That was what you could charge to the room before you had to "cash out" and start again.
Yes you would've had to pay for that.
