I traded a sorcerer hat (I had two of them) for an Animal Kingdom Lodge room and High School Musical room. Is this a fair trade? And if not, who got the bad end of the deal?

if you both got things you wanted, good deal for both. There are a good bit of Sorcerer hats around now because of the detector magic. If someone lives close to the parks, they can get the VMK code cards pretty regularly.
