I was wondering if any of you had a moment when it finally hit you that you were ACTUALLY going to WDW? I'm going in December and I'm making plans....but it still feels like I'm sort of pretending that I'm going.

I've noticed lately though, as I read more of these boards, that the reality of it is building and building......

I think any day now it's gonna blow, and when it does.....OMG!!!!! :dancer: :jumping1: :cheer2:  :earseek:

I know what you mean ... I've had plans to go the past 2 years and had to cancel both times. Now we plan to go this December and come h_ _ _ or high water, I'M GOING!!!!!

I've done some thinking about it, but like you said, it doesn't feel real yet. I even went the the World of Disney store here in NY yesterday and bought a wallet-type thing to use while we're down there and I found myself thinking "well, I can always bring it back if I have to cancel again".

I ordered tickets for MVMCP and that helped a little. I think that what will make it seem real is when it comes time to make dining arrangements. The I'll have to come up with a concrete plan of what parks to visit on which days and get everything all sorted out.

Enjoy your planning!!! I can't wait!

The best feeling is when youre at the World and it finally hits you that youre there. I remember back in December we put some stuff in the car at the Poly parking lot, we turned back to goto the resort and I got to see the GHC from afar and it just struck me. A shiver went down my spine and a huge smile overcame my face.

That was a great feeling.

Yes! We're just 28 days out until our trip and last night I had a dream, or call it a nightmare, that it was time for us to go. I didn't have anything packed. We were already on the road, and I realized I didn't have the information about the hotel we're staying in in Pensacola on the way down. The whole dream went on and on this way. It was so strange. We never did get to WDW in the dream. Thank goodness I still have time! But this dream makes me think that I need to start gathering things up and get it all organized!

Yesterday, when I purchased our tickets online from ticketmania.com. Room reservations I can cancel, PS's are not binding, even airline tickets can be refunded for vouchers for somewhere else (although, pricey and a pain), but MYW tickets are good for one thing only and can't be refunded - so have no choice but to use them!!! NOW IT'S REAL AND NO GOING BACK!!

That whole week leading up to our trip I was on :cloud9: .. however, I think it really hit me once we were in Orlando. It was too early to check in to the hotel, so we explored Downtown Disney. BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!!!

Making those PSs is definately helping to make this vacation a reality.
I keep thinking ok 5days of PSs done, 10 to go!
Wow! Seems like we'll be at WDW a long time - hope it feels like enough time when we get there

When I make our plane reservations - the only non-refundable tickets. ;)

I get excited when I buy the plane tickets. :Pinkbounc

Happy dance, when I start, and finish booking the PSs.

Major Happy dance, when I make the Last payment to Disney. :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

The week before is a blur- No sleep, too excited, packing, working, kids still need to be here or there, trying to make meals out of what is left in the fridge, freezer (don't want to buy a bunch of groceries). To me, the last week is the worst-

We are going during December too!!! That just seems toooo far away! Maybe after the 200 day mark, I will feel better.

On my DW's first trip during the 25th Anniversary, she didn't believe it until we were actually in the car on the way. Even then, she thought that there was something that was going to happen that was going to ruin it and we would have to go back but it went off very smooth and she had the time of her life. I am taking her back on her fifth trip in 29 days. The same thing is happening. She won't get excited until we are on the way. :confused3

29 day dance!  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2:

i always get that feeling once i see the castle. i have waited for this trip for 21 years. my dh and i have gone quite a few times, but this is the 1st time with our little man.(ds3). it is going to be so special. we were married 18yrs before he came along and he is our WHOLE life. so this is going to be the best trip!!!!!!just to see his face will be worth the whole thing, the planning, the paying, the anticipation......everything. oh my, i think i'm going to cry just thinking about it.
[i cant wait until our vacation[br]

I think I know what you mean. Back when I began planning it seemed like it would be forever. Now we are closing in and I have so many major things going on each month, it's like rungs on a ladder. Get through this and then through that and each event gets us closer to 12/4. I'm really getting excited. I'll be giddy the day I can start making ps's! LOL

I actually "believe" it once we're inside the airport waiting to board the plane.

Yeah, it really doesn't hit me until my plane lands in Orlando. I get a little anxious the week leading up to my trip, so afraid something is going to "pop up", to prevent me from going. Once my plane touches down, I feel pretty secure that it's actually going to happen.

actually mine is when we leave the airport
i just like the 1st feeling when you walk outside and instead of a cold blast it's warm instead.
seeing how cold it was before we went i think the feeling is great
