Was the morgue used on Fantasy Feb. 6-13?

The Magic was in CC when the first drowning death occurred in February. The next day the Fantasy had a drowning occur in the snorkeling lagoon. I was on the tram waiting to head to the family beach area when a golf cart went screaming by with a man on his back and a lifeguard performing CPR as intensely as she could. The tram waited and about 3-5 minutes later another golf cart went flying by at full speed with a young lady in the passenger seat who was hysterical. We watched the helicopter come in, pick him, his wife and his daughter up and turn toward Miami. He later passed away at the hospital in Miami.

A couple of days later (It may have been the next day), the Dream had a man from just down the road here in Tennessee pass away in his sleep. He was found by family as they were arriving at Castaway Cay.

It as definitely not the first time the morgue has been used on the Fantasy. On our Western cruise in 2014 we had a 'Bright Star' call the first day at sea. Just before all aboard at Cozumel, a covered stretcher was taken away in an ambulance, followed by a large family and all their luggage, escorted by ship's officers. Very sad.

Was that in October 2014? If so, we were on that cruise. It was horrible seeing the family leaving the ship in Cozumel.

Lots of very elderly persons cruise. Heart attacks onboard do account for some of those statistics.

Definitely not the first time the Fantasy Morgue was used. On one of our Fantasy cruise's a person passed from a heart attack. The family disembarked at the next port but I am not sure if the deceased passenger did also.

Should a passenger pass away in a stateroom onboard, they will have to be moved. The body can't stay in the stateroom. So they'd be in the morgue until it could be arranged for the family to send them home.

I lost a friend a few years ago who apparently had two heart attacks on his 20th Anniversary cruise and died in the ambulance on the way to the Key West hospital after the ship docked. Heart attacks are definitely not uncommon.

It was. I am guessing it was a grandfather, from the family members who were leaving. My heart broke for them, especially the little ones.
