i have a 2 night reservation starting Oct 12 and a 7 night one starting the 14th. So, tomorrow should be my day to make FP for the first trip, and Tuesday for the rest, I thought. I was just able to make them for not only the 13th, but also the 15th and 16th, including a 12:05 FOP on the 16th. I wonder if this is a glitch, or if they will disappear?

If your second stay is also onsite, then I would expect both stays to open for you tomorrow morning.

As to why yours opened early, I couldn't tell you.

Ok, thanks. I thought they would be separated. It is a bit glitchy, but shows dates in blue as available all the way through my stay. I was just playing around with it not expecting it to be open for FP.

Any time I have a 2 trips within 60 days of each other I can make FP for the 2nd trip 1 day early. Happens 100% of the time
Took me a while to catch on to what was causing it to happen. For a while I thought it was months with 31 days messing up the countdown clock

I wonder if it does it for both trips? I've never had two booked at 60 days
I always book one, then we plan another trip later. Never two at once

This is great to know! We have September and October trips planned - I'm going to check for FPs one day early just in case!

Not a glitch. If your check-out day is the same as check-in day on the next reservation, its a continuous reservation so you can book 60 days from check-in on the first stay for fast passes throughout your visit.

ETA: Just realized you posted last night. I always check the day before but it was unavailable for me. I had to wait until this morning @7am est to book and we also check in Oct 12.

Question for you: We check in to BC on 11/17 and we check into POP on 1/11. FP day for January should be 11/12. Do you think I should try on 11/11?

I would for certain.
I have a trip that starts on 8/25, booked this trip back in early June. Booked the FP June 25th, just as it should
In July I booked a trip that starts on 10/5. I should have been able to book FP (and do online check in) on Aug 6th. Instead I was able do book our FP on Aug 5. I still couldn't do online check in still the 6th.
What I've never done is what you (and the OP) have, 2 booked before 60 days for the 1st trip. I always booked the 2nd trip after I had already booked FP for the first trip. We had a lot of trips last year and all were within 2 month of each other and every time the 2nd one could book FP a day early. So it was consistent. It wouldn't surprise me that it works this way for 2 trips booked before 60 days

Yes.

What's actually happening is the FP Booking window for Stay#1 continually rolls forward. So even though you are at WDW, that window is still open for the upcoming 60 days. The rolling window meets up and opens the onsite stay, somehow. :)

Thanks so much for posting this! I have a trip mid-September and another one mid-October. My October trip FP day is supposed to be tomorrow, but I logged on today just in case, and sure enough my FP window was open! Still didn't get FOP for my trip, but had my pick of NRJ times. Thanks for sharing this tip! I love these boards!
