Was I dreaming? October Discounts?

I'm sure that about a month ago I saw a special offer to stay on-site for either $49/$59 Value and $79/$89 Intermediate later this fall. Thinking we were't going to be in FL, I deleted or discarded it. Now that we're going in late October I can't find a trace of it. Any ideas?

No, you weren't dreaming. Some people received special offers through email or postcards sent to their home.

You can call Disney and see if they have a discount attached to your name or go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index and log in. After logging in, on the left side of the screen click on "My Offers" to see if they have an offer there for you.

It's worth it to call AND check on line because they are not the same database. I had different address info with CRO and online using the same email address. My parents had different phone #s in each system tied to the same email address (one home phone, one cell phone). I updated the address online so now they match but I got an email offer a few weeks ago at this same email address. CRO has the info on it but nothing is listed under "my offers" online.

For what it is worht, my email came after I CALLED CRO and asked for a vacation planning video to be sent. I had requested one online with my other email address and with DH's email address. Same demographic, same address but I ordered them differently and only the one I called to request got the email offer.

I got that offer and booked it for Pop @ $49.00 for Oct. I received it via email. Although it is only available if you call, not on line. I would call and give them your name and explain it got deleted. I'm sure if they emailed you an offer you are in there computer.

I went there and logged in but I don't see My Offers anywhere on the left side. Any more hints?

Once you log in, go to "My Vacation" and then you'll see "My Offers" on the left hand side.

I am going in October. Got the plane tickets cheap, and car rental. But still looking for a better deal on hotel. The best I have is at Pop @ 85$ a night with AAA.

I am registered with Disney online. Is this the same place that sent you the 49$ offer. If not please let me know where I can signup in hopes to get a emailed offer. Also if anyone hears of any October deals please pm me.

Thanks so much for the advice. Called CRO and got $49 Value, $79 Moderate and $109 for Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge.

If you are already registered with disneyworld.com the only other things to do are to complete your profile and to request a vacation planning video. Lots of people reported getting email offers after requesting a video. When the first 2 big waves of email codes came out I requested videos for everyone in my family. :lol: I did DH's name and my name but my parent's address and requested those online. I then thought maybe I should call CRO to request it. I called and requested the one in my name (call 407-WDISNEY). A few days after I requested them we all got emails titled "Your Vacation Planning Kit is On the Way!" The ones I ordered online were just "we're looking forward to seeing you" types of emails. The one that came to the email address I used when I CALLED to request one had a PIN code in the email. I'm so glad I actually LOOKED closely at the email because it was sort of hidden in the middle and I'd already looked at the other 2. In the middle of the email where my other 2 just mentioned rack rates on values, this one said

We'd love to have you come visit us this summer. That's why we'd like to offer this chance to stay at a Disney Value Resort:

• Starting at $59 per night plus tax

This rate is available most nights 8/29/04 to 9/29/04. The number of rooms available at this rate is limited though, so be sure and book soon!

Additional adult charges apply if more than two adults (18 or older) per room. Advance reservations required. No group rates or other discounts apply. Rate nontransferable. Other special rates available 9/30/04 - 10/30/04.

and included a PIN number. The 3 emails were sent the same day, with the same "sent" time, All 3 had the same demographic info. Maybe it was a coincidence but the only one to get the PIN was the one that I requested by CALLING. It can't hurt to request one in both places!

On another discount front...a travel agent on another site has announced that she received word from Disney of a new discount that will be released on 8/26. She says it will include both a room only and a discounted dream maker package for travel dates from 9/30 to 12/25 and will be available for booking 8/26 to 10/10.

I sure will try order a video. I got a cd a few months back. but can't remeber if I ever got any offers from Disney. I apprecaite the advice, and I am patiently waiting for October specials. I am planning on going Oct 20-26Th Kids first time 6, 4, 2. Got plane tickets for 99$ fare on US Air, cheap full size car at thrifty for 127$. Next waiting for Hotel prices to drop!

Haven't been to Disney in 10 years. Heads spinning from all the great advice. Just hope my brain can soak it all up before we leave. Still trying to figure out all the meal voucher types! Next on my list lol!

I too got cheap plane fair also. To answer your question I'm not sure why I was sent the offer. The offer is for value resorts @ $49.00 a night and moderate resorts @ $79.00 per night. It is good for most nights 8/29-12/19/04. There are a few block out dates. There was a pin number with the offer I had to give them in order to get the rate.

Several things I can tell you about me and the disney site:

1. I am registered @ the site
2. I do request the videos
3. I have a disney visa

I don't know if any of these or all of the above had anything to do with why I got the offer. All I know is I'm going Oct. 6-9 staying @ Pop and the offer from WDW and the cheap airfare pushed me over the edge.LOL
