Was anyone else at the Christmas taping?

We just got back from our 4 days in Disney. On Friday we had the voucher to be extras and were lead to the stage. When we got there, Vanessa Williams was getting ready to come out. She is so pretty and so nice. Happened to be in the right place because after she sung they were doing a bit piece for the parade that needed some people to stand with her in the crowd "watching" the parade and we got right behind her. Then they took a break for an hour and we moved up front in front of the stage and waited for them to start again. They were taping the finale with I think her name is Paulina Rubio? It was great because all the characters were out dancing, my son was loving it! Well worth it! My son was wearing a Mickey Mouse costume with a Christmas tree headband, lol. After they taped the finale, they were doing the same bit with her watching the parade with a group of people but this time a CM from the parade came up to us and said she wanted to use our family and we were part of the group again, right behind her. They were finished taping for the day after that.

We got there around 9am on Sat with our passholder passes and they let us in again but all of main street was already packed with extras and they were filling in front of the castle aka wouldn't be able to see a THING. So we headed back towards main street and there was an area in front of Tony's that you could just hang out and sit.. turns out it was a great place to be because all the stars and characters came in and out RIGHT THERE. And we got to see Kelly and Regis there. Oh and front row seats for the parade too. We didn't care about being on tv, so this was nice and relaxing. Talked to some really nice CM's and it was funny because a lady sitting with us with her son happened to be from West Palm Beach too and her son and my nephew go to the same school. We saw the Cheetah girls and AJ and someone else? The Cheetah girls are so nice, they were signing autographs and taking pics...

I just told DH what and who he missed on Friday. He's now heartbroken. LOL His lost, he's the one that decided not to go and do AK instead.

Friday was our last day so we were just people watching and wandering around; the park was packed. We caught John Hurley from the side of the castle at a distance then when they said Vanessa Williams will be coming out next, I got as close as I could to take pictures and I stayed to see her do the song 3 times. Then we left so my girls could do the Wonderland Tea Party at the GF.

We tried to get there this year but wasn't able to go. We were a little disappointed at the time but after hearing about the crowds, we probably wouldn't have been able to see much anyway.

We werent there on fri, but on thursday night before MVMCP they were taping by the castle. My one ds asked a cast member who the star was and they said Jamie O'Neal and I think they said from some country music channel. I dont know if that is a seperate special or will be included with the parade stuff etc.

That was Aly and AJ you saw. Aly(aka Alyson Michalka) is the girl who plays "Keely" on Phil of the Future. AJ(Amanda Joy) is her sister.

I think the reason that Paulina Rubio was there was that one of the Spanish language channels (Univision?) does a WDW holiday special of their own, and since Paulina is a big Latin star she was one of the guest stars.
