Was all happy about Boma, then... *help*

My very picky husband loves Boma... its the one restaurant he always requests now.

Boma was our favorite meal on this trip, by far, hands down. So many great choices, and so different than the other buffets. But I can see if you like plain food that it might not be for you. Crystal Palace dinner was so ugh for me. As was Chef Mickey's. And 1900 Park Fare. They were all totally adequate and I ate enough to be full, I even enjoyed a handful of items (like strawberry soup at 1900 PF). But I didn't get 2nds of anything, or eat until I was stuffed like I did at Boma. Yum. I am getting hungry just thinking about it! Boma is a new must-do for us!!

The only smell I remember (and we stayed at AKL this past August) was the fabulous smell of smoked meats as you walk through the lobby. For this Southern girl, that's probably the best smell in the world. I loved it!

As for the food, Boma was surprisingly good. I don't particularly care for buffets, but this one was great!

Boma is the only buffet I do! My son has loved it since he was 4, now 14. Boma has as a good amount "American" food along with itd African specialties. What I love is the freshness of the salad dressings, the fragrant soups and most of the African dishes, some sweet and some savory. We love cous-cous, hummus and boboti, but I also love a good piece (or 2) of rare roast beef.

If you aren't adventuresome at all, then it's probably best for you to focus on a more typical American buffet! It's too much money to end up being disspointed, that why Disney has different strokes for different folks!
