Was ALB-TPA $40 offered as a DING fare a few days ago??

It is currently being offered right now as a SWA fare and wondering if it was offered a few days ago? If so, perhaps BUF-TPA or BUF-MCO will also be offered again in the next few days?

Any thoughts?

Yes it was Suzy...I think it was on August 30th. Albany to Orlando for $40...it was soooooo tempting. Hope you can find it from Buffalo.

Edited to add...sorry...misread your post. They did offer Albany to Tampa one day as well but don't remember which day. Good luck.

I'm with you, Suzy. I'm watching the DING fares obsessively. I missed the Buffalo/Orlando fare, thanks to computer trouble, and I've been kicking myself.

At least you had a reason not to book (computer trouble). We were on vacation, came home day of the DING, went to visit my parents, came home and got kids settled in bed, THEN turned on the computer to find out I missed it by about 11 minutes!!!!! I was at my moms for about 4-5 hours. I should have run home to check!!!!! But when we went on vacation, DING wasn't even showing our dates yet so I wasn't concerned!!!

O well, hopefully another good BUF-MCO will be offered soon.

Oooh, ouch! Well, suffice to say that I've got the Ding software loaded on my ancient desktop computer too now, just in case I have the same problem with my wireless connection to my lap top. Lesson learned!

I just discovered the DING software and loaded it after hearing about BUF-MCO@$49. I think it's still available. My question is... How long do these deals last on average? I'm not going until Feb but my thought is, if they're offering $49 now, then they will probably offer it in Feb when travel is just as slow. Is that sound thinking? Also, are seat choices generally limited (ie. we are travelling with infant and would like at least 2 of our 4 seats to be on a bulkhead)?

I'm guessing for that kind of fare, you get what they give you and don't even count on the four of us sitting together.

Am I close??

Hi, I don't believe you can sit in the bulkheads with children, you have to be able to assit the Airline crew if they need help. When you have children you aren't really able to assit. You have to line up to get your seats, there are no seat assignments with SW. It's first come first serve.
Yes, I believe you will find a deal come February, but act on it as soon as you see it.

When you see the DING, the special is only open for a couple of hours at a time. So when you see it, book it!

When I say bulkhead, I mean the seats with the wall right in front of them. You will see tiny holes in the wall for a bassinet that you can request for your infant. I have only used this feature once on Air Canada (and quite honestly, have never really looked for it before), but I assumed it was a common feature and available on all major airlines. Am I wrong to assume this? If so, #@*#%@!!. It'll be a long flight with 1 yr old in lap.

BTW, thank you for the info. Have you ever known deals to remain active for days at a time because you can still click on the specials link at SW site and se BUF-MCO @$49 which was a DING quite a few days ago?

the DING last week was 40$ each way, the 49$ fare has been on since this fare sale started in august but expires tomorrow night at midnight cst


not all days had the DING available when the sale was on
