Was able to get the DVC discounts with my card last week.

Wanted to update with my DVC membership and discounts. I was able to get a little over $100 in discounts with my DVC membership card last week, even though I bought re-sale. The CM ask me if I was an AP holder, DVC member, ect. I told them I was a DVC member and had my card and ID ready. The extra amount off on some of the things we got was nice.

Now online I am not able to get any discounts because I show up as resale, but when they ask me if I was a member, I was honest and said yes.

Perhaps. But according to DVC CMs in the park at the DVC Lounge, new cards are going to be issued soon with expiration dates. Meaning new cards will be issued on a regular basis going forward. Evidently I didn;t have "the newest" membership card, and she verified my membership before I was permitted access to the lounge.

As this thread does show a a current work-around for the discount policy, which is against our posting rules, (even though it was DVC's mistake by issuing you a card) I'm going to close this thread.
