Has anyone ever done a Warrior Dash? I think it looks like lots of fun, but just wondered what the experience was really like.

Yes, I am the guy on the far right of the inital photo.... the one with the balloons.
Kidding.
I do like these kind of unique races --- but would rather do adventure races instead. Less mud, more thought.
Is it a big party atmosphere? I have avoided races like this in the past for that reason. But, there's a group of us who are thinking of giving it a try.
Really? I'd think it would be a little of both for me. Just a little.Yes, there is definitely a "party" atmosphere and most of the participants are probably under 30, but I do these for the fun and challenge of the course and not for the party afterwards.
Sorry about weather cancellation.
Just noticed they're bringing this race to Ontario for the first time! I tried to convince someone else at work to come along and she said "It looks like an accident waiting to happen!"![]()
If you can figure out the shower concerns for after the race, I may be convinced to do it with you!
Don't count on the Warrior Wash to get you spotless. It's usually a "community" overhead shower of hoses attached to a water truck.
Your final state of cleanliness will depend on the "stickyness/stinkyness" of the mud on the course and the quality of the water in the final mud pit.
Best bet is to keep a couple gallons of water stashed in your car trunk for a sponge bath. But even then, a lot of mud tends to follow you home and remain hidden until you can take a real shower.
These really are fun events and really bring out some wild characters.
lol It does sound like a ton of fun... I think I could convince my DBF and his guy buddies to do this too which means I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Barrie alone!
I'm still on the fence but it's appealing more and more to me.
Where are you Saylan? I am thinking of doing this race and going out of my comfort levelBarrie isn't too too far but I'd like to do it with someone
