Warning to tonga toast lovers

Wife is a big TT lover. Read that rainforest cafe has tonga toast so we decided to try it and compare it to kona’s. Beware it is not the same tonga toast. It’s just french toast with fruit on the plate. We knew something was wrong when my wife asked for extra compote and the waiter looked baffled and said he can bring extra syrup

I'm curious why you thought it would be the same? Kona and Rainforest are completely different restaurants owned by completely different companies.

Yes, the name is pretty specific and being in disney thought it would be the same. In addition the article i read said “kona cafe is not the only place to get tonga toast in disney”
So i assumed it would be same or somewhat similar

The article was probably referring to the fact that you can also get it at Captain Cook's.

But I do see where the confusion could come from.

Too bad about the compote but extra syrup works in my books any day.
