Warning to all CPs in WDW

Just wanted to give all current and future CPs in WDW a warning about the union. In WDW CPs are not allowed to join the union and because of this it is very important to realize just how powerful the union is. The union is the biggest concern of the leaders, and cast members who are union members do not have to do anything that is not specifically in their contract. Most full timers are great cast members, but some are not. NEVER get into a fight with these cast members. If they complain about you and go to their union, you WILL be terminated. Disney does not want to have to deal with the union just because of a CP, so they will terminate you. Its not fair, but you are on the bottom of the food chain. Florida is a right to work state, so Disney can terminate you for any reason. Angering the union is a quick way to end your CP.

One crabby FTer I work with had another CM get transferred because he basically hugged her without her permission (it was an innocent hug too).

That is very sad, but that is exactly what can happen. I first became aware of this from my brother. One of his good friends is a trainer who needed to show some new CPs how to do a task. He asked a FT if he could take her position and she said no. He then manually took her position and gave her a new one. She went ballistic, on stage I might add, and told the leaders and her union. The union and the leaders sat down and worked it out, but the leaders told him that if the union had continued to fight, then he would probably have gotten terminated.
With this said, CPs should become friends with as many cast members as possible, you will meet the greatest people in the world. Just be careful and aware that this can happen.
