Make you POOP! I found this out the hard way - was out doing shopping and forgot to bring anything to eat - while at Shaws saw a Ketogenics chocolate peanutbutter bar - I have never had these and I really thought it was a atkins type bar - but when I got out to my van and opened it I saw chocolate, MMMM I said since its that TOM - and ate it - I figured its one net carb - and it tasted VERY GOOD! well I got home about 2 hours later and started getting stomach cramps and felt the need to - well you know.....and I have had the need 4 more times! I don't think I'll be eating these again - too bad though because it was REALLY GOOD - but not good enough to go through this again!

Ah, the joys of sugar alcohols! I had a bad experience after eating carbolite gummy bears. Too many of the sugar alcohols used in sugar free foods cause gastrointestinal problems. Look out for malitol - if it's on the label, use with moderation or you'll be spending a lot of time in the can.

Same here Hershy SF, Russel Stoffers Candy Bars and Jelly Belly Jelly Beans are killers... ouch! It feels like someone is climbing around in your tummy/chest... weird! However I dropped 1.5-2lbs the next day after I have one of these...lol!

The Carbolite jelly beans about killed me. I thought i was going to have to go to the ER! Don't think I've quite experienced stomach cramps like that before!

The Carbolite bars did it to me, too but not quite with such vengeance.

I can't tolerate ANY sugar alcohols! After years of intestinal problems this is one I don't need to volunteer for!

OH NO Sue ... you poor thing! I know the pain well. I've been so grateful that I can eat the Atkins bars.

So sad to hear that the Hersheys and RS candies are painful too.

It just doesn't quite seem fair.

Stay strong my sugar-free sisters :cheer2:

I have found that I can have ONE S/F Hershey's miniature. I also learned the hard way to be careful with maltitol. But I can tolerate it in small amounts.

I had a sugar free chocolate bar on my way to a softball game last year. We had no sooner arrived when it hit.....OMG! Thank heavens there was a public restroom less than 70 feet from the field. I thought I would have to abstain from playing due to the trips to the can. My hubby however can eat the stuff with no problems what so ever. Lucky him.

On the good side though. If you need to "go" what better way then a good ole' candy bar to get things moving.....:hyper: :hyper:
