Just a warning to those of you who have either an iphone or an Ipod Touch, running Itunes 9 under Zone Alarm.

There is a new version of the software version 3.1.1.

I had no problems with updating to 3.0, but when i updated to 3.1.1 the unit semi bricked!:scared1:

Could not restore to original, all that would happen would be a message to restore the unit!

Finally found out the problem, Zone Alarm was blocking connection to server, so no update and no restore!

To update, switch off ZA (yes, i know, open acces to the computer) and update.

now I have version 3.1.1 running, but now having to restore all my contacts, videos, music apps, etc etc, everything. long night...

same thing happened to me :( scared me!

Thanks for the heads up - I bought DD an iPod Touch for her birthday and she is always downloading things she shouldn't - I'll tell her right away!

I think it's a PC fire wall :confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3 If your a mac user ...we don't need such things!

Every Mac comes with a built in firewall which should be switched on. UDP traffic should be blocked and stealth mode enabled.

Don't assume you're immune to the evils of the net on a Mac.

Obi you could just get a MAC :rotfl::rotfl:

Nah, wife uses a Mac.
they are slow, awkward and very costly for what they are, plus Apple users seem to be slightly weird and overprotective if you critiscise "jesus" Job's products :happytv:
