Yeh becuase when your travelling you like to no exactly whats happening e.g. a bit of an itinery...well i do anyways.

And to not know whats happening e.g. being put on to a train to paris, and then not knoing what time you'll be getting to dlrp.

I agree, they really should of informed you this when you booked your ticket.

Least you got it sorted though. Did you sort your parents tickets out aswell?

To be fair to Eurostar, they probably didn't know when torsie booked that there would be work going on. The fire a few weeks back has thrown up a lot of operational problems including the need to do unexpected repair work in the tunnel.

But as soon as they knew there was a possibility of trains not running they should have been warning people who had already booked and offering the chance to change the booking.

Glad its sorted though.

What I'm saying that as soon as Eurostar found out they should of informed the people booked on that train.

Then again Eurostar customer service hasn't been that great recently.

Nope, they didn't tell me anything!!!

Just I was bored (and excited) so put my dates into the eurostar websites, and was told there are no trains on that date!

thats so bad!

glad its all ok for you and that you found out!!

but imagine if you couldnt change holiday dates, or amend hotel booking etc

cant believe they allow bookings to be made (and paid!) when there are no trains running?!
