I have SKYPE on my computer and today I noticed that I had a notification from them on the bottom right side of my computer. I clicked on it and just don't know what to do. I do have sudden shutdowns. Is it a scam? What would you do? This is what it said:

Run Windows update from your computer (not from any link)... then run a virus scan (not from any link). Do you use Windows Security or another anti virus?

it's spam ... ignore it and block the sender. This is chat spam aimed at scaring users into purchasing an alleged antivirus product. The purported remote virus scan performed by the site behind the URL is also a fake: it is a harmless movie, not a real scan. The "results" of this fake scan are also false.

I use Webroot anti virus and spyware. In fact, I just ran it a couple of hours ago and it only caught spyware.

Thanks Bonnie (or Lee). I didn't know that SKYPE is capable of that kind of stuff. I will block them. I appreciate your help more than you know!!
