wow! thanks for posting this. I take Advair twice a day and have for over a year now.

My asthama has never been as controlled as it is now, but I am going to talk to my doctor about this.

Yikes. My son has been on this for about 3 years now--ever since he had his first severe episode. It (Advair) has been the only thing that has given him long-term control ever since.

I have been on Advair for years (take it once a day) and my asthma has been very controlled. Need to talk to Dr. about this.

I was put on the Foradil back the end of Aug. when I had a very bad upper respiratory infection and was having extreme wheezing and problems breathing. There was already a warning that if taken wrong it could lead to problems. My doctors directions were to take it for wheezing and or tightness of chest.

I only took it when I really needed it and it helped greatly, but haven't taken it since.

I think if the patient follows the doctors directions, there won't be problems but there is always someone who thinks they know more that the doctor and won't listen, their the ones who will have the problems.

I just talked with my Dr about Advair. I will continue to take it.

Wow. I can't take advair anyway (makes my heart race, as do most of the daily inhalers), and now I'm glad. I'm too sporadic on inhalers for it to be safe for me to take one that could make things worse in the long run.

DH already knew about the warning
So much for keeping me informed.
He will continue to take it (he is 2x a day and also carries a rescue breather with him)

DH also takes Advair twice a day. He'll call his pulmonologist about this. Thanks for the warning.
