Just a friendly warning to anyone going to Disneyworld in Orlando.

Disney employees are notorious along with Orange County Sheriff's Officers for falsely arresting and prosecuting people on their premesis.

Curt posted some time ago that he and his partner (a cop none-the-less) were shopping in Downtown Disney. He said a CM gave them one of those big blue bags and said they could go store to store, put all their purchases in it and then pay for them all at the same time. I think they could "buy" the bag too!
Well, needless to say they got picked up by security for shoplifting. He posted about it and it turned into a huge free for all. He ended up going back and editing all his posts because of the "pending lawsuit". It was quite the fiasco and very funny.

Oh yes, I also believe he felt they were set up because they were gay.

While I disagree with the OP's post, and feel there is NOT some sort of conspiracy at foot, I have to agree that the local police are not exactly the nicest people in the world. It might be sour grapes, but I was pulled over ON disney property, about 3 minutes from AK. The speed limit went from 40mph to 25mph and he caught me right after it had done so. He wrote me a ticket for 15 over without question and knew I was a tourist. From what I know from locals this is a rare occurence. The only tickets local police give out are to CM's that travel roads on disney property that are frequented by CM's. I was, in fact, on one of those roads. I guess that didn't help either. Regardless, I was pretty pissed that I had to pay the $200 fine while on vacation.

Bad news here for the State of Florida in general, and Orange County in particular. Just think of the tax revenue the state and county are going to loose when people start canceling their WDW reservations in mass.

I need to go down to the Capitol Building downtown here and let them know ahead of time about the impending loss of tax money.

California, Texas, and Florida all have counties called Orange. Most of WDW is in Orange County, but the All-Star Resorts, WWOS, and a little bitty piece of the southern part of Pop Century are in Osceola County.

My favorite pie is apple, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side and some Cool Whip (none of that crappy Redi-Whip stuff!)

My grandmother used to make the best apple pie I ever tasted. She always overloaded it with cinamon and brown sugar, and the filling was thick as a stew. It was the best part of Thanksgiving day for me when we finally got to the pies! I miss Grandmom's pies almost as much as I miss her... Almost.

BTW - the Dolphin Fountain has a terrific apple-pie a la mode. Not as good as Grandmom's, but very tasty and a terrific treat after a hard day in the parks.
