10 years ago my cousin died while setting off fireworks. A firework launched the wrong way and went right into his head. He had been setting off fireworks for years with his family on the golf course behind their house. His Mom, Dad, brother, girlfriend, friends and neighbors were all there.
So remember, if you must set them off, be very very careful. Better yet, leave the fireworks for the professionals and enjoy your day!

). That intense pain, followed by numbness, has stuck with me this past 28 yrs. I have never set off an explosive firework since. When we get them for the kids, I stick with the sparklers, noisemakers (poppers) or the smokers.
Despite the kids impatience to get them ALL going at the same time...they are only allowed to do them one at a time. They can take turns picking which one we do, but still ONE AT A TIME!
