Just got my modified confirmation in the mail from WDW. It says "McDonald's room only offer"

Then under Resort Information it says
"Florida resident ID required upon check in"

I had no idea. Original poster of BAP code must have been from Florida. NOw I've lost ALL discounts....

Not too happy :( :( :(

Actually Cindy, I'm just outside Chicago, Illinois. There is NO RESTRICTION on the actual flyer I picked up at McDonald's in Bridgeview, Illinois on September 15th. Perhaps you should call back CRO and confirm your reservations before you blame someone for posting misinformation.

and she also lists NO restrictions either even though my confirmation also states I need a FL id. Will call CRO now and post what I find out!!!

Thanks for checking, Barb. I've had no luck applying the code to my upcoming reservations but in true Disney spirit, I'm always happy to help someone else out. I really cannot imagine that a Florida only code would be publicly available at a retail outlet like McDonald's in Northern Illinois. That just makes no sense. Hopefully, CRO can straighten things out for you.

and I can't imagine them applying a FL resident code without something coming up and flagging it!!!

Still on hold...

She couldn't understand what happened, but is taking care of it - bringing it to her supervisor and said NOT TO WORRY!!!

If you received this note on your confirmation, just make a note you talked to Willamina and she was going to remove that stipulation!!!

Thanks again for you help, MrsJackSparrow!!!! I saved $60 with that code!!!! :teeth:

I also just checked with CRO (for people we know in Georgia who I told to use the code). I spoke to Bruno who checked with his supervisor, and he said it should be no problem, that it's a McDonald's code open to anyone and that the FL resident line must be there in error. However, he did mention that there's another FL res code that is VERY close to BAP, so to make sure that they typed in the correct code on the reservation (and didn't accidentally type the FL code). However, with this many people having the problem, it sounds like an error to me. (I nearly had heart failure when I read about this and was in a total panic because I thought I had just completely screwed up a family's trip by trying to help them!)

Mrs. Jack Sparrow,

I'm sorry if that sounded like I was "blaming" someone. I certainly wasn't at all. I just thought that maybe that was what had happened. For all I knew, it wasn't clearly marked on the flyer, and that it was just an innocent oversite.

Please....i meant no blame.

I'm glad to see that the "need Florida resident ID" is most likely an error. I sure hope I can fix mine.

I hope I can talk to Wilamina. I will post my results.

Thank you,

Cindy, hard to read someone's *tone* online, so no offense taken. Barb, I figured that would be the case.

I am so happy that some of you have been able to take advantage of the code. I just wish it would come up from 10/8-10/16 at Pop for me!!

I appreciate information I've received on these boards and I am happy to share wonderful news like a code, considering that the Value resorts are still in regular season until after Halloween while other resorts are in value season! And the code IS indeed better than the AP code.

Good luck to anyone else using the code!:wave2:

The customer service people who are answering the phones are trying to deal with so many codes right now i think their computers are going crazy. Originally when i first tried to make a res using the BAP code they told me it was only for McDonalds Employees so i too freaked and thought i was getting bad info on using this code, the next day i rushed to McDonalds to get the scoop and saw a display with a 5 X 7 blue flyer tied into a promotion McDs is running with chicken selects it has no restrictions by state that i can see and you dont have to be an employee or any other requirements, it does have a few blackout dates but that is the only limitation... needless to say i safely tucked the flyer away with the rest of my vacation planning materials for safe keeping just incase any problems arrive later. To ease your fears check your local McDonalds and look for the shiny blue flyer and relax and enjoy your vaction

MrsJackSparrow: Have you priced your dates recently on the Disney site? They are showing your dates are good with the Fall special, and the price is running $660.16. I may be wrong, but I think the BAP McDonalds code will give you the same discount as the Fall special pricing...

Great idea about getting and bringing a flyer for the trip. I shall go out to McD's today.....and have some lunch too I suppose...well it is bad for me......Trying to "eat right" so that I can feel free to eat at the Food and Wine Festival!!

Thanx again for the tip!

And the code IS indeed better than the AP code.

Am I missing something here? The AP code is $49 plus tax, while the BAP is $55...aren't they? So the AP rate is better.

Basically the best thing this discount has going for it is that it overrides regular season so that you can get those choice rates even during regular season not only value season such as the AP gives ya and bat so 55 during value but also during regular atleast thats what previous posts have gotten

I just picked this flyer up at the McDonald's in Walmart in Kalispell, Montana. I got on-line to see if anyone else was aware of it. Just to make you feel better, this flyer is apparently out nationwide, as previously stated, and should not be limited to FL resident discount. The flyer I picked up said you must make reservations by October 10th.

AP room only for my travel dates is $69/night, which comes to $616. So, $55 a night works out to $497, or something like that, which looks good to me!:bounce:

Thanks for checking, Rhonda, but BAP is better.

Of course, after holding 20 minutes now, their system is down.

Thanks for all the info, when I booked my BAP code, I asked if there were any restrictions and they said No just some dates. They obviously new I lived in Canada as that's were they were sending the confirmation but when I received it today and saw Florida resident ID required, I nearly flipped.........Anyway I'm going to go with the Willamina story and stick to it.
Thanks for the help
Less than 7 days to go............YIPEE:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
