Be careful when checking out on Priceline. Don't enter your cc information until you're 100% ready to purchase. I entered my information, but did not complete the transaction. Priceline still put a $750 hold on my credit card! It's been a week and it's still there; cc company can't do anything about it. I'm so mad.

That stinks :(

Also why you don't use a debit card at priceline or any hotels. Imagine if that was your checking account.

Yeah, that would have been way worse. That's partly why I always use cc for online transactions and at gas stations (a gas station put a $120 hold on my cc a few months ago).

Back when I used to travel for work all the time, Sheraton added a zero for all credit card charges. This was for ALL Sheratons for a few days. I had used a high limit CC so wasn't bothered. But there was a lot of people that had bounced checks because of it. Sheraton paid the bounce fees, but still.

Did you call Priceline to verify they released the hold on their end? Once the hold is released it is 100% on the card issuer when they release that credit line or those debit funds back to you. Some companies are notoriously slow for doing so. We had this issue over Magic Band Authorization Holds in 2019 where some of the CC issuers didn't release authorization holds for two weeks, even after the final charge came through.

I talked to someone on chat, but they could not explain why the funds had been withheld to begin with. The hold was released on Monday, fortunately.

Only after so much unneeded drama..
I'm going through this right now but I can not purchase new res. Untill they clear.
Mine was with a 3rd party travel agent.
I was told 7-10 business days sadly.
