I have to tell you all...(especially with everything going on in the world), it's so refreshing to see that everyone is still going ahead with their planning.

After watching fox news while my twins are sleeping and getting depressed (and petrified) at everything I see, it's somewhat uplifting to see people still moving on and "living." This is the true American spirit.

I feel SOOOOOOO guilty planning a vacation when there are so many men and women overseas fighting for my right to enjoy myself....:( For anyone that has family, friends over there...THANK YOU!!!!

Life must go on because you never know what's going to happen tomorrow. Enjoy today. :Pinkbounc

P.S. I have twins also - but they don't nap anymore - they're in 5th grade (girls)

I know exactly what you mean. Yesterday I sat and wept when I read about all the deaths. But what MELSMICE said is right. Life must prevail. We talked about cancelling our trip but then when I gave it more thought I realized that this may be the last family vacation we have. Who knows what tomorrow may bring. This trip we have a new son in law coming with us who has never been to "the world". We have been planning this vacation for a long time and I pray nothing happens to make us change those plans. Our prayers and good thoughts are with our troops and with our country as always.

The war began while we were at WDW last week and that night I got panicked, reading about how central FLorida was a "no fly zone" and all that. But I really did feel safe there. As the days passed I would look around in the crowds and it was all just families playing, arguing, dong their own thing and I felt OK.

I am an anxious person by nature, but even I realize that I could be hurt in my hometown as well as in Florida. Life is risky! The DRIVE to WDW is more likely to hurt me than some terrorist angry over the war. People spending time together is what WDW is all about, war or no war. At night we'd watch the news and I just pray that all those soldiers are soon home safely.
